I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cambria Hotel on Niagara Falls, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
Location:
The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect. It’s conveniently situated within walking distance to the majestic Niagara Falls, making it incredibly easy to visit the falls at different times of the day. The proximity to various attractions, restaurants, and shops is also a huge plus. You can easily explore the surrounding area without needing a car, which makes for a stress-free vacation.
Check-In and Staff:
The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff at the front desk were welcoming and professional, providing all the necessary information about the hotel amenities and nearby attractions. Throughout my stay, the staff were always friendly and ready to assist with any queries or requests, which made me feel valued as a guest.
Room:
I stayed in a king suite, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable with high-quality linens, ensuring a great night's sleep. The suite also had a cozy sitting area with a sofa and a work desk, which was perfect for both relaxation and productivity. The bathroom was well-appointed with premium toiletries and a large, walk-in shower. One of the highlights was the stunning view of the Niagara River from my window – absolutely breathtaking!
Amenities:
The hotel boasts a range of amenities that enhance the overall experience. The fitness center is well-equipped with modern machines, perfect for maintaining your workout routine while traveling. There’s also a business center, which came in handy when I needed to print some documents.
Dining:
The on-site restaurant, offering a variety of delicious dishes, did not disappoint. I enjoyed breakfast there every morning, and the buffet had a wide selection of both hot and cold items. The evening menu was equally impressive, with a good mix of local and international cuisine. The bar area provided a cozy atmosphere to relax and enjoy a drink after dinner.
Service:
Service throughout the hotel was consistently excellent. Housekeeping did a fantastic job of keeping the room pristine, and the restaurant staff were attentive and courteous. One particular instance that stood out was when I needed a late checkout due to a delayed flight, and the front desk manager Ryan accommodated my request without any hassle.
Overall Experience:
My stay at the Cambria Hotel on Niagara Falls was truly memorable. The combination of a prime location, luxurious accommodations, excellent amenities, and top-notch service made for an outstanding visit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay near one of the world's most famous natural wonders. I look forward to returning...
The hotel's staff was friendly, and the location was excellent. It was just a few minutes by car to the border, and plenty of restaurants were within walking distance.
However, the listing on Booking.com contained some misleading information. It stated that parking was $20, but it did not clarify that this charge was per night. Unfortunately, there were no other parking options nearby.
The Booking.com listing for the Cambria Hotel states that "free breakfast is included” with the reservation. Upon check-in, I received a breakfast voucher and a one-page handout outlining the hotel's policies. According to the policy, breakfast is only provided for one of the nights during each guest's stay, meaning it is not complimentary on the second morning if you booked for two nights. The handout notes guests can purchase additional breakfasts from the hotel’s restaurant.
However, the so-called restaurant had a few tables on the main floor for breakfast service, much like any other hotel setup.
The breakfast was pretty generic, resembling most continental breakfast buffets, which didn’t bother me. That said, I found it frustrating that guests had to wait to be seated and assigned to a "server" who merely dropped off water and then walked away—especially for what was supposed to be a complimentary breakfast. Being guilted into leaving a tip for a server who does very little is unreasonable.
The hotel might argue that my not receiving vouchers for both days was just a mistake and that breakfast is complimentary as advertised. To that point, I would ask why " servers " charged $12 or more per person for breakfast if someone did not have a voucher?
On a positive note, our room was nice, comfortable, and clean - so I thought. While the morning light crept in from behind the curtains and hit the adjacent wall just right, I noticed it had a peculiar texture. My curiosity got the best of me, so I inspected it. Upon touching the wall, I discovered that it was covered in so much dust that I could write "hello" with my finger. I assumed the other walls were similar, but...
