We arrived at the Hampton Inn on June 16, 2023. I started unpacking and my husband noticed that there was clothing left in one of the drawers and the toilet was dirty (I later noticed small hairs in the sink). He called the front desk to notify them. They offered another room, but as we were tired and had already begun unpacking, we said weâd stay if they could clean the toilet. To their credit, one of the front desk employees arrived promptly within 15 minutes to clean the toilet and retrieve the clothes. While we were checking in, I had asked about breakfast service hours (6 am) and wanted to know if coffee would be available earlier. They said it was usually made around 3 am. The next morning, a bit after 3 am, I went downstairs for my morning fix and was unable to find any coffee. The front desk employee (different from earlier) had been outside and when he returned, I asked when coffee would be available. He said he usually made it around 5 am and wouldnât make it earlier just for one person (I hadnât asked him to brew any especially for me). It just seemed a negative way to say that the coffee wouldnât be ready for a few hours.||On some positive notes, the rest of the staff, including the breakfast staff, were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was good, and we didnât have any noise issues.||UPDATE: My husband and I stayed here for three nights in Jul/Aug 2025. All staff we interacted with were helpful and professional. The check-in process was simple and the room was clean and came with a microwave and refrigerator as advertised. ||Special shout-out to front desk staff member Samantha who seemed cheerful every time I interacted with her and was also very helpful â no problem getting extra towels and trash bags (how two people can generate so much trash in a few daysâŚsheesh). ||The breakfast staff were very nice and accommodating; the food was fine, exactly what I expected based on visits to other Hilton properties with free hot breakfast.||Some positives: The interior was going through a renovation, but it never interrupted our stay (workers did not start too early making noise, etc.). One outlet in our bathroom did not work but they sent a maintenance person to our room right away and had it fixed.||I didnât have a vehicle with me, but the amount of parking seemed reasonable.    Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! We checked in on August 9th at approximately 14:00 EST. We were assigned a room containing an interior door that directly connected to the guest room next door. Upon check in we discovered that this doorâs lock was broken and could not be secured.
We informed the front desk of the security issue. The staff member on duty at 23:10 refused to take corrective action, declined to provide an alternate room, and engaged in verbally confrontational behavior toward us. This was both unprofessional and unacceptable given the seriousness of the safety concern. He just called the room next door to tell them not to enter to our room. Which is absolutely absurd. All doors need to be locked and be able to provide safety.
Later that evening, after we had turned off the lights and television, thinking that we are safe and that we could sleep but the occupants of the adjoining room attempted to enter our room again through the unsecured connecting door. At that point, our safety and security were clearly compromised. As we experienced this situation we went to the front desk and told about the issue that we are facing. Person working on shift did not even wanna listen to us nor to act accordingly instead he told us quoting ,, Do you want anything else or do you want her to solve the issue? (her-meaning his co-worker that is finishing the shift) Since she was really polite and trying to help us. In this manner of him silencing co worker and having an attitude with the customers you will just face losing customers. He made a scene as well telling me that I should maintain eye contact while speaking with him. Since I asked my husband to better describe the situation.
After being in shock from unpleasant and unprofessional approach from the Hilton front desk I told them that I will even involve the police if breach into the room happens again since our security was compromised. The only solution we had is to move the couch to protect ourselves. $400 for one night and stress constantly for safety???
This incident constitutes a clear breach of the hotelâs innkeeper duty of care, which legally obligates lodging providers to take reasonable measures to protect guests from foreseeable harm. Furthermore, the failure to provide a secure room violates the implied warranty of habitability, as the premises were not reasonably safe or fit for occupancy.
As a Hilton honors member highly...
