Don’t ruin your day! Went to Niagara Falls with the family on a day trip yesterday. This restaurant almost ruined a beautiful 1st visit to Niagara Falls. Their customer service standards are nonexistent. They will absolutely not go extra mile to accommodate a customer. Example: Something as simple as warming up buns for a hamburger will not be done. They rather throw it out and make you wait for something else rather than just throw the buns on the grill for a minute or two. The wait for the table is shorter than the wait for the food. Example: It took 15 minutes to be seated. It took an 27 minutes to get our first of six plates that were ordered (one which was wrong). In total it took an hour to get our last plate (partly because they didn’t want to warm the buns). In all, it took 2hrs for us to have lunch which deprived us of doing more exploring during our day trip. While 3 of the girls who all claimed to be the managers were apologetic, the waitress (Ashley) was very nonchalant about the whole thing which put my wife over the edge.
Other cons: Bathroom is downstairs. There is a two drink limit. Which is nuts considering how long the waits are. The wait at the bar is about as long as the wait for the table so don’t even bother. The cook is yelling at the runners almost the whole time so ask not to be seated near the kitchen.
Pros: It has a gorgeous view. The portions are plentiful and the taste of the food was good (per everyone in my party).
I operated 2 businesses for a total of 16 years and I can’t wrap my head around how they could ruin it on one of, if not the most important thing for any business to succeed. Customer service. One of the few things that controlable.
If I ever went to Niagara Falls again, I’d rather sit on the grass and have a picnic and have the same view and not deal with the disfunction and waist of time. I do not recommend that you take a gamble on...
Read moreRude service, Utterly disappointed. Today we went to this restaurant, the management asked the 6 of us to sit at a table of 5. Of course, we didn't quite fit in. We asked the server if we could shift the table, and he obliged. The other table was very dirty, and when we asked them to clean that up, they instead continuously interrogated and insulted us, asking with whose permission we're shifting the table and saying that they're so full. (They honestly lack communication among themselves.)
When I told them that I'm disappointed with their rudeness, the manager (his name is Robert) personally apologized and asked for a second chance. I fell for his words that these days nobody gives a second chance and/or a chance to explain themselves. He said that he'd personally take care of our order. But unfortunately everything was either fake or this place really needs to upgrade its service.
We were kept waiting at our table for 45 minutes for our food, which was really oily btw. There was no personal service, no extra apology, instead the manager just asked in the end if I'm feeling okay after the food! Once he came to the table and asked from where we are, that's all!
However, now the pros! I liked how the server improved her behavior towards us and actually was really nice towards us. This one star is for that waitress and the lovely view from the place.
But, if possible, DO NOT go to the place. Hospitality is definitely NOT their best suite. (Probably I sensed a bit of racist micro-aggresive behavior there too!) Stay away if you prefer...
Read moreAsked for the seared cauliflower steak, told they didn't have any, got fish and chips instead. Tried to order a Rusty Chain lager, didn't have that either, got a Labatt Blue instead. Asked about dessert at the end of the meal, told they only had one of the three dessert items, the NY cheesecake. When asked if it was just plain or if it had anything on it, was told by our server 'It has, like, berries or something, I think'. It's a fairly small menu, why are they running out of items so quickly, and how do the people working there not know what comes in the small number of items? I get that it's a busy tourist spot, but do they not know that when ordering food? Overall, my food was ok, not anything to write home about, and my partner did not like her food very much at all. Overall quality was similar to what you'd get at any chain sports bar, not an expensive restaurant with a scenic view in one of the most beautiful and famous geographic features in both the US and Canada. The portions were big, but that's the biggest credit to it. The whole place was super noisy and crowded. It lacked a lot of the atmosphere you'd expect from having such a beautiful view outside. Honestly really wish I got a sandwich from the place downstairs and ate it outside at a picnic table or bench, I would've saved a lot of money and had a better experience. I'd recommend you...
