The check in was fairly quick and easy I did precheck in online. The Valet Steve was amazing. Very friendly outgoing and very helpful. The hotel smells great its very clean too.
Downfalls of my trip were we were given coupons but were not told tgi friday or keg was closes but yet coupons had signature on them so walking there prepared tor dinner sucked because was cold out and they were closed. The shower didnt drain properly. You had to have it fully turned to hot for a luke warm shower not even hot. The first night at 2am i was awoken to people chilling in the hall my handset wouldnt work for the phone to call to guest services so i told them take it in their room that it wasnt fair to others... i didn't get any sleep. Mattresses in 1707 should get replaced although comfy to a point you sink in and the grove stays with springs. I told front desk the next day about the unruly neighbours and about the phone. Then on the saturday the room next to us got rented i was trying to nap due to the night before and they were so loud i even herd 2 other guest to ask them to keep it down. Doors slamming kids sounded like using bed as trampoline or screaming top of lungs and parents didnt do anything i contacted the desk they said send security to discuss. I asked for a room change they said they had to investigate... again had to use speaker to call as hand set in room didnt work to call down. I didnt get any follow up about room changes Then that night same thing 2am kids screaming and crying for over hr straight i couldnt call down to front desk and i didn't want to use the speaker to wake my other guest in my room. It carried on for quite a while i was going to go down to talk to front desk at 530am but elevator wasnt working so another night no sleep.
I plan to try to give another shot at the hotel when i go with huaband in march but not holding my breath. Or maybe i will go to hilton instead id rather get a falls view room with jaccuzi (daughter works for brand) and have a better stay paying the same price then to have a repeat of this.
Maybe the people who were not very compassionate to the other guests see this and understand even though you have kids or go drinking and have a good time have respect for others. Keep noise down.. try to keep kids clam dont alliw to treat like a jungle gym.
PS. STEVE THE VALET DESERVES A RAISE. HE IS VERY ATTENTIVE FRIENDLY AND OUTGOING. HIGHLIGHT OF OUR STAY...

I feel so disappointed that I have to give this hotel such a bad review. I’ve been here several times always staying in the suites however I recently stayed in a regular room. The walls were so thin that I could hear EVERYTHING going on in the next room, even a “low tone” conversation. It was unfortunate for us that the hotel was fully booked (so we couldn’t switch rooms) and it just so happened that the folks next door were partying for the night. They were VERY “intimately active” all night long. I was horrified to think that a family could have potentially stayed in a room like that. We called security and of the few times, I called they only came once. To be frank I don’t think it would make a difference anyway because the walls were so thin so I also felt bad for having to even call. (However, I still couldn’t sleep at 530 am due to their noises.)
The front desk worker, Jacob, was very dismissive and when I explained what happened he wouldn’t even discount my parking. He shared that they can’t control noise and that is just a part of what happens when you stay at a hotel which is a public place. In my opinion, I don’t think anyone pays for a hotel to have to be subjected to the (intimate and party) noise of others. I don’t think anyone stays at a hotel expecting not to sleep.
He actually said “Like I explained before again, this is a hotel that is open to the public and we do not have control over what people are doing in their room unless it was illegal activity. We do offer guests to call down if they are experiencing a problem with a neighbouring guest and they may call multiple times if the problem persists but we do not compensate for these issues as a guest's actions are out of our control.”
I was so shocked! I didn’t even get a chance to mention that our shower was backed up resulting in us having to shower in a tub FULL of water. I didn’t even get to explain the terrible challenges that we had with parking.
When I followed up by email after checking out he offered a refund on the parking but only because I had picture proof of the tub. He could care less about the walls and noise. Unsurprisingly, after a week they never issued any refund! I feel like I got robbed!
Stay at any other hotel, even Howard...
Read moreVery disappointed. I’ve been coming to this hotel for the past 3 years with my family. I also spend my Covid 10 year anniversary here. Facility wise it’s great. Location amenities 10/10. My review is based on customer service and staff. I came to this hotel on thanksgiving weekend and was really looking forward to it with my two sons as we had a very hectic summer. I booked the king bed with whirlpool because the boys wanted a hot tub since the pool was closed due to Covid, (which later I found out other hotel pools are open ) nonetheless when came to use the whirlpool it wasn’t working, our sink was clogged, maintenance came told me the jet won’t work and plunged my sink while my kids were sitting in their towels in hopes for the tub to work. Front desk told me they will Let me know if another room will be available, no one called and I was with two kids so at this point moving rooms wasn’t the most convenient, I went out and came back to find my room key wasn’t working I used the elevator phone to call front desk as my son needed to use the washroom, she said she’d send someone and also that I must of kept the key by my phone, no one came and I asked house keeping to let me in. At 8 pm when we wnt down front desk asked if I’m changing rooms, which I wasn’t informed of and by 8pm it just was no point my kids were ready to hit the sack, I did change rooms , where the tub was not the same tub was much smaller and the bed was a queen bed. I also felt the attitude the front desk lady had was not very hospitable. I was very disappointed as I felt much more could of been done, there is no loyalty, she kept on saying I booked with Expedia which I didn’t and wasn’t listening to anything I said, and I feel I’d your going to tell customers to not put their key by their phone and imply it’s an inconvenience than the least thing you can do is check your rooms to make sure everything is working properly before it’s made available. I felt I wasn’t money and ruined my weekend and was very disappointed with the service I got. I will say that Frank in Valet was veryyyy helpful and I really appreciated how he helped me when I checked in with two kids that were sleeping and that they gave me free parking but all in all I don’t think I’ll come back ever if this is how loyal...
