We stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview in July 2025, and I wanted to share our experience.||Initially, we were a bit hesitant after reading some mixed reviews, but we are SO glad we decided to book this hotel. We reserved a single king suite with a falls view, showcasing both the American and Horseshoe Falls, for one night—checking in on Tuesday and out on Wednesday. The room description stated that it would be located between the 10th and 15th floors, and the website clearly outlined the various room views and their pricing, including the additional tourist taxes and fees. It seems those who complained about unexpected charges may not have thoroughly read the booking information.||During online check-in, we had the option to choose our room the day before our arrival. There were several available rooms across multiple floors, even up to the 40th floor, with no hidden extra charges. After some research, we selected room 2004 on the 20th floor. However, the online check-in system couldn’t provide a digital key, so we needed to visit the front desk.||When we arrived at 2 PM on check-in day, we were prepared for potential upselling tactics based on previous reviews. The front desk associate informed us the booked room 2004 was unavailable for early check in, but they could offer us an upgrade to a Junior Presidential Suite for an additional $200 Canadian dollars that we could gain early access to with no wait. He pointed out that our booked room had a smaller window compared to the suite's floor-to-ceiling view. We politely declined the upgrade, and he mentioned that our room would be ready in about an hour, prompting us to return later. I suspect this might have been a tactic to encourage us to upgrade, but we decided it was best to wait.||I took the opportunity to inquire about parking, as we had a kayak on top of our RAV4. Based on reviews, we had gathered that our vehicle wouldn’t fit in their on-site garage, which the valet outside confirmed. The front desk staff suggested checking with the valet for off-site parking options. I also asked about luggage hold since we were traveling with small children and our service animal. To my surprise, after a brief pause, the receptionist suddenly found our room 2004 had suddenly become available, allowing us to check in early. While I appreciated the early check-in, it felt as if the room had been ready all along, potentially a part of their upselling strategy.||Once we checked in, we utilized the bellhop service to transport our bags while my husband parked the car off-site. He reported that the parking process was seamless, with a shuttle waiting to bring him back to the hotel—no wait involved, and it cost only $35 Canadian dollars.||In my opinion, the hotel is ideally situated for anyone visiting the Falls. The view from our room, 2004, was absolutely stunning. While it did feature a floor-to-ceiling window, it wasn’t quite as wide as the one in the suite we declined. Nonetheless, we enjoyed breathtaking views of both the American and Horseshoe Falls. The room was clean, a great size for 2 adults, 2 kids and a service animal. The hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the Falls Incline Railway, and after taking a ride down, we found ourselves at the Table Rock Welcome Center. We explored the area, walked down to the tour boats, and strolled back through Clifton Hill before returning to the hotel. It was lovely to relax until the lights illuminated the falls at dusk. We rode the railway downto see them at night and then enjoyed the fireworks from our room.||The following morning, we decided to skip breakfast and focus on packing. My husband headed out to retrieve the car, and once again, the process was smooth with no delays. We had the bellhop assist us with our bags, and we made it down just in time for my husband to arrive with the car.||At checkout, there were no surprise or unwanted charges, and the hotel staff were all friendly and eager to help. Being in and around the hotel with our dog was a delightful experience.||Overall, we loved this hotel for its prime location and excellent customer service. We will definitely recommend it to anyone asking for a...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE! I was supposed to have a room on a high floor 18-24. Upon arrival at 8pm the front desk person said I could upgrade to a room that was normally $1500 for just $150 a night. I literally asked him if this was a trick and if there was something wrong with the room. He assured me it was a better room. As I opened the door, the smell hit me in the face, dirty animals or something, it was horrible and strong. It was New years eve we had dinner reservations at 9 and I was traveling with my three kids. At this point we have no time to deal with this as we have to get to dinner. We decided to just deal with it. This room was on the 12th floor much lower than where we would have been if I hadn't "upgraded". We could see a bit of horseshoe falls and a bit of the American falls over the trees. As it was new years we spent almost $700 for this night (before the "upgrade") to be able to see the fireworks from our room. We go to dinner and come back for the fireworks, unfortunately we could barely see them through the trees over towards American falls. The images on their website are obviously created in a photo editing program. Now, fireworks are over and we try to go to sleep. There are 2 problems with this, the steakhouse which is STK is on the 9th floor, if you have never been to one, this is a steakhouse that turns into a nightclub after 8pm. So we got to listen to the bass from the steakhouse until 3 or 4 in the morning. The second problem is the bathroom floor drain, there was a quite annoying draining sound coming out of the hole all night. The breakfast is overcrowded and disgusting. They have a room with 2 tables, each table consists of 1 tray of powdered scrambled eggs that were horrendous. 2 trays with what they call omelettes, also from powdered eggs, 1 tray of pancakes and 1 tray of sausage. The sausage was edible. In the lounge where you would miss it if you weren't looking there was an empty tray that was meant for toast as well as the ketchup cereal and a tray of muffins that appeared to be handled by small children and returned to the tray. There is a single line for coffee and juice, the coffee was empty, the apple juice was good. Trying to find a table was difficult as there are thousands of people staying in this hotel and the bar/lounge for seating and the tgi Fridays. We were directed to the Fridays as there are larger tables, most were full and the rest were dirty. We strategically sat at a table trying to avoid the milk and ketchup all over the table. After breakfast we get ready for our day, this gives me the opportunity to see the room in daylight, you can see the falls, it's a nice view but not the view we would have had, however the room is in terrible condition and not clean. Much of the furniture is damaged, holes in the lamp shade, the mirror appears to be cleaned with lotion, things on the floor that suggest the floor was not even vacuumed. We had to tie up the "window" in the bathroom to keep it closed. There are coffee splatters and other mess on the walls, it's pretty ridiculous. Now to the bathroom, this drain in the bathroom floor is disgusting, the grate is matted with a greyish black thick grime in the drain holes, the shower drain is the same and it's not caulk, it's filth. The toilet paper holder is barely staying on the wall, not sure how the grout in the wall tile gets so dirty but it was terrible also. There is a grate on the ceiling in the room with the shower that says vent and the paint is peeling off of it however there was no switch for it, it did not work and after showering as I was sitting on the toilet there was water dripping on me from the ceiling. And for some reason there was a screen on the inside of the window, which was not staying on the window and seemed unnecessary. Honestly, I travel all over the world and sometimes we go places where the hotels are not the fanciest and that's okay but this is a Hilton and a very expensive room but it was more like a motel 6 in a 3rd...
Read moreMy Horrific Experience at Hilton Niagara Falls – A Warning to All Travelers
I have always cherished staying at hotels, creating fun memories with my kids. We’ve stayed at numerous Hilton properties, and our experiences were usually delightful. Unfortunately, my recent stay at the Hilton Hotel in Niagara Falls turned into the worst experience of my life, leaving me shocked, devastated, and vowing never to return.
A Terrifying Start
The nightmare began as soon as I arrived. The parking attendant, who was supposed to guide us, ran aggressively toward me and my three children, getting in our faces and shouting at us to turn around. His behavior was so abrupt and physical that I felt terrified for our safety. When I pulled out my phone to record the incident, his demeanor changed, and he feigned innocence, claiming he wasn’t being rude.
Another staff member who witnessed the incident profusely apologized, admitting this kind of behavior was common among the parking staff. I was completely shaken but decided to stay, hoping the rest of the experience would be better.
A Glimmer of Hope, Then a Shattering Blow
To make up for the parking incident, the hotel upgraded my room, and I decided to stay because it was part of my birthday celebration. Despite the rocky start, we tried to enjoy our time. But any positivity was destroyed during checkout.
As we packed up and boarded the Hilton shuttle bus to the parking area, I made a life-altering mistake. While organizing my children and bags, I accidentally left my Rolex box containing my watch on the bus. The realization hit me almost immediately after getting off, but by the time I flagged down the shuttle driver, the Rolex was gone.
A Lack of Accountability
When I asked the driver about my watch, he dismissively claimed there was nothing on the bus. His tone and attitude shifted drastically, and I grew suspicious. I immediately reported the issue to the shuttle bus manager, who coldly told me, “If someone stole it, there’s nothing we can do.” They refused to check cameras or conduct a thorough investigation.
Despite my tears and desperate pleas, no one seemed to care. I filed a report with Hilton’s security team, but they showed zero urgency in addressing the matter. The lack of cameras on the shuttle bus—a service directly tied to Hilton—was shocking. A five-star hotel should ensure safety and accountability for its guests.
Hilton’s Negligence
Had I known that the shuttle buses were so poorly managed and lacked surveillance, I would have never trusted them with my family or belongings. If the Hilton Hotel in Niagara Falls offers a service as integral as shuttle transportation, how can they not implement basic security measures like cameras or issue disclaimers about the risks?
A Heartbreaking End
I lost my Rolex watch, but more importantly, I lost trust in a brand I once respected. The staff’s indifference and unprofessionalism left me crying and devastated. What was supposed to be a joyful birthday trip turned into an unforgettable nightmare.
A Warning to Others
If you value your safety, belongings, and overall experience, I urge you to think twice before staying at the Hilton Niagara Falls. I am sharing my story to prevent anyone else from experiencing this horrible treatment and negligence. Hilton’s failure to ensure basic safety measures and their dismissive attitude toward guests’ concerns are beyond unacceptable.
Hilton, you have let me and my children down in the worst way possible. I demand accountability, transparency, and action—not just for me but for every guest who walks through your doors. If you cannot manage your staff or services responsibly, how can you call yourself a five-star establishment?
Do better. Until then, you have lost a loyal...
