Save Your Money—A Disappointing Anniversary Lunch.
I wish I could say we had a wonderful experience, but unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. My family and I were looking forward to a special lunch to celebrate our anniversary, and we were excited to dine on the patio with a nice view of the falls. We were seated promptly, which was a good start, but things quickly went downhill from there.
After placing our orders for the cheese/meat boards and hummus, we were informed 20 minutes later that they had run out of the meat items. Which was a let down as really thats all we wanted to have. We decided to go with just the hummus. While the hummus itself was decent, the pita bread served alongside was hard and stale—my youngest wouldn’t even touch it. When we asked for more pita, we were surprised to learn there would be an upcharge. We agreed, and when the second round arrived, it was fresh and plentiful, which was how it should have been from the start.
However, we were still missing side plates, napkins, and cutlery, which left us feeling quite neglected. At one point, we considered leaving, but we didn’t want to be impolite, so we decided to give it a chance. Big mistake!
When our meals finally arrived, they were cold and tasted as if they had been sitting out for hours. The flavors were disappointing as well. My daughter, who usually enjoys her food, was so put off by her lobster roll and it was not at all like a usual lobster roll. It was more of a mushy sweaty salad with tiny pieces of lobster chopped. She said the taste was very fishy and not good. My husband switched with her as he hasn’t started eating yet. He took a bit and had a hard time swallowing it. It was not good at all. He ate just the top of the bun and felt put off by the taste. My daughter took no more then 2 bites of her hamburger after saying mom it doesn’t taste good. I was very sad and disappointed. My youngest had a beef hot dog, which was acceptable and she was happy, but the chips served with it were stale. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. My pulled pork was cold and soggy, while my husband found his lobster roll to be overwhelmingly fishy and more like a mush than anything else. The salads served on the side were horrible. It was runny with liquid which means it was sitting. It was not fresh at all.
The service was another letdown. Aside from one kind gentleman who brought our food, we struggled to get basic items like plates and napkins from our server, who initially seemed pleasant but then became noticeably absent. We were both disappointed with our meals, and my eldest barely touched hers, ultimately leaving most of it uneaten.
When it came time to settle the bill, we expressed our dissatisfaction to the server who brought our food. He mentioned he would call a manager, but we felt there was nothing they could say to rectify the situation. We just wanted to leave at this point. The bill came and it had my meal removed. We paid the bill and left very unhappy.
We deeply regret not taking the advice of a couple we spoke to while looking at the menu outside who suggested we go somewhere else for better food and better restaurant for the kids. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience so others can avoid the disappointment we faced on our anniversary. Save your money and eat...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience when I visited Table Rock Restaurant with my family on a Tuesday around 6 PM. We were seated by a hostess at one of the tables facing the falls. To be honest, we were expecting the place to be full, but there were just a few tables.
After some time, a server introduced herself and asked us where we were from. We told her we were from Mexico City, and everything seemed fine; it felt like a regular introduction to get to know the guests better. After some time, once we were ready to order, we told her we just wanted desserts and drinks since we had just had lunch a couple of hours ago. She immediately said that she needed to check if we could stay because there were many reservations for the evening, even though the place was visibly not too crowded. She came back a few minutes later saying that we could stay but only for a quick dessert.
That basically ruined my spirits for the night. Even though my family wanted to stay, I decided not to order and told her that I wouldn't because I didn't want to be rushed. She replied that they only wanted to let us know and "be nice to us," to which I said that not a single word she said made sense, because she was actually being very rude. Even if she wanted to hurry us, simply ordering dessert would obviously mean we didn't want to stay long, so I genuinely couldn't understand her motivation or rationale.
After paying and just before leaving, we asked the hostess about any dessert policy we should be aware of. She said there wasn't any and told us that she didn't know what had happened. However, she did say that the server had actually asked her if we could stay just in case there was a reservation. The hostess was confused because servers aren't supposed to be concerned about that. She told us that as long as they receive a guest, the servers have to assume that the hostess did their job and only focus on serving the guests assigned to their tables.
After knowing about our experience, the hostess said that she definitely needed to report that to the manager. The manager didn't do much; he just said sorry. I still don't know what it was, but after hearing the hostess's side of the story, I realized that my family and I might have been victims of racism. What a coincidence that right after mentioning we were from Mexico, she suddenly had to check if there was a reservation for that table so we wouldn't stay long. Another explanation could simply be that she wanted a big check, but I'll let you all decide the motivation.
Be careful when you visit this place, because either they only want big checks, or they are racist,...

Parking:0/10 Hosts: 3/10 Seating: 5/10 Server: 11/10 Food: 10/10
Would I return? Absolutly!!! Parking: Was absolutely nuts! We drove around several times to find some sort of parking. People were savage with parking spots too. So anyone walking to/from their car, be very careful with people speeding through the lot. Once we found a spot, we had quite a way to walk before we approached the welcome center arch.
Hosts: The girls in the front spent a lot of time chatting amongst themselves and did not have good communication at all. My partner attempted to ask them about the phone call he made in advance that day to reserve a table by the window. Instead of communicating clearly, one hostess said, "Okay have seat." I know she doesn't have much authority to do much, but a smile and more communicative demeanor would have made the experience much more sweet.
Table By The Window: Before we were seated, we noticed a giant condensation stain on the window. I suppose it was caused from the humidity outside and the coolness inside. But our table appeared to be the only table that had this giant spot of condensation on the window which really dampened our view of the falls... It almost defeated the purpose of sitting at a table by the window. But aside from that, the table was set very elegantly, no sign of previous customers and what you could see through the stained window was absolutely gorgeous.
Server: I'm upset at myself that I cant remember our waitress name but she was so funny and very accommodating. Her services was A1! She completely picked up on the whole "love birds" vibe we were giving off, approached our table and cleverly pointed at, "Oh my! I can see you two steaming up the windows over here!" We found it so hilarious. She knew instantly how to turn that giant ugly negative into a positive lol
Food: was amazing!!!! I especially adored the maple lead shaped ravioli! It was so cute and very tasty! It was the first seafood ravioli I've ever had and it was very delicious. I'm so sorry for anyone who might be curious as to what the dishes are called but the salad, entrees, dessert and wine was all perfect. I wouldn't have changed...
