Cooperstown Distillery Beverage Exchange at Saratoga — Restaurant in City of Saratoga Springs

I recently had a disheartening experience at Cooperstown Distillery. On a cold day, with temperatures around 25 degrees, I visited the distillery to purchase a Christmas gift from their retail section. With me was my 8-week-old French bulldog puppy, a small and unobtrusive companion. Despite the frigid weather outside and my intention to simply shop, not consume any beverages, I was unexpectedly asked to leave the premises. This request seemed unreasonable and insensitive, given the age of my puppy and the external temperatures. The manner in which the staff, including the manager and the bartender, handled this situation was both rude and unprofessional. Their decision to ask a customer to leave under these circumstances, particularly during the holiday season, reflects poorly on their approach to customer service and consideration for patrons’ circumstances. I literally can’t say enough about our visit to Cooperstown Distillery. The experience was a highlight of our trip to Saratoga Springs.

We wandered in after finding every other place we wanted to sit and hang out was packed on a Saturday afternoon and were able to set ourselves up in the beautiful sitting area complete with big armchairs and a fireplace. It was like being in a comfy cabin that was a well kept secret in the busy downtown core.

The distillery tasting bar was a fun feature.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and kept us well set up with drinks and good conversation. We sat there for an hour reading and crocheting and may or may not have slightly stumbled out happily full with delicious drinks and looking forward to coming back next time...
