My experience with Evan and the deJonghe family was authentic, educational and one of kind. I located deJonghe Original Jewelry via an online search when I decided to expand the search for my fiancé's engagement ring. Initially, Evan called me on the phone and we had a detailed conversation, followed up by an in person meeting. On my way from Vermont to meet with Evan, I was caught in a snow storm. The deJonghe family stayed open a little later to accommodate our appointment. Evan explained diamonds in a way nobody else had, along with band options and the process from start to finish. When I left, I drove home so impressed with their family approach, and not once did I feel pressured (or at any point). It's the way shopping for an anything important should be.

We created a custom band for my fiancé which she absolutely loves. She ofter receives comments about the uniqueness of it.

Since then, my fiancé and I have purchased a few other pieces of jewelry, along with our wedding bands from deJonghe Original Jewelry. We’ll stop in while visiting the Saratoga area. When we do, my fiancé usually leaves with a polished ring!

Along with my fiance, I worked with Evan to design and produce a custom engagement ring. I had the original diamond, and the vision was to add a hexagonal halo and a custom, accented band. Evan made our complicated vision come to life remotely through great coordination. We live in Florida, so everything was done via emails, phone calls, and videos. Still, the process was seamless, even through the pandemic (and the addition of a new deJonghe)!

The ring itself is stunning. It is a beautiful piece of jewelry which has been turning heads and attracting attention everywhere we go. Throughout the entire design, there was an emphasis on quality and durability, as a ring like this should stand the test of time. It's very obvious upon seeing and feeling the ring that his focus on endurance has produced something that is going to last generations. Overall, the design process was fun, enjoyable, and even educational, as Evan took the time to explain things and answer questions at every step. My experience at de jonghe was wonderful! I brought in a petrified tiger shark tooth I found on the beach in florida, and asked Dennis if he could make it into a necklace pendant. He started sketching ideas, and I could immediately see I had gone to the right place! I left the tooth, and was contacted to return and see the wax sculpture that it would be cast from in gold. I approved his design and a couple weeks later I was told it was done. When I went to pick it up, I was thrilled to see it had come out even better than i expected, just beautiful!
