Best bread in Syracuse hands down! Highly suggest stopping earlier in the day if you can, especially if you have a specific kind you want, they do sell out! They have their classic stretch bread which they serve in their restaurant across the street (very good as well), rolls and focaccia. They have some desserts as well but bread is definitely their specialty! Their focaccia is the best I've ever had and I couldn't imagine ever going somewhere else for it. I've had a few different kinds and loved them all! Most recently I got the gorgonzola and onion and it was my favorite I've had so far! Their focaccia is so dense and moist, and bursting with your chosen flavor on the inside. Highly highly recommend!

Stopped in for the first day of Downtown Syracuse's 2024 Dining Weeks for their take out special lunch. For $15, I received a very generous portion of the most delicious mushroom soup I've had in a long time. This was followed by a roast beef sandwich on their famous stretch bread, and a oversized chocolate chip cookie for dessert. What an incredible value. The lunch special continues, featuring a different soup and sandwich each weekday, through the first two weeks of March, but I intend to return frequently during the next year for that mushroom soup and a loaf of stretch bread.

Right across the street from Pastabilities in a nice, safe and walkable part of the downtown area. Lots of metered street parking around. They have a nice variety of baked items; breads, focaccias, sauces, deli sandwiches and some other sweet treats like short bread bars and some really amazing cookies. Everything seems very fresh. The counterperson was very friendly and efficient.

I am from California, home of the San Francisco Sourdough. I love a good crust and chewy-pully moist crumb. When we lived for years in Upstate, NY, most of the supposed French or Italian bread was like white bread fluff---ick. But this place makes the most amazing bread. I can see they have added pastries since we left in 2015, and I have been sorely missing their Sun-dried Tomato Focaccia bread. We would buy 2 loaves for me, my husband and my daughter, because we had a 45 minute trip into Syracuse, and that first loaf would never ever make it home. We would pass the loaf around and pull (and I mean you gotta pullllll) the bread apart and enjoy the deeply flavored tomatoes, and the salty-herb topping on the loaf. This focaccia bread is like no other I have ever had and I really like it better. It's more like a sourdough bread than the soft, crumbly, more cake-like focaccia I have been served in many other restaurants. I wish I knew how they made it or could get my hands on the recipe or at least the type of bread it really is. I want to make it at home in CA, because we will not be going back to Upstate anytime soon. It's killing me and I have been searching in vain for more than a year for a recipe to come close to this. If you like sun-dried tomatoes and good, pully bread, you will love their Sun-dried...

My brother (a common customer) came into the bread store with a shirt on his face, covering his nose and mouth, and once he walked in a very angry inappropriate bald employee there, yelled very rudely at him, and told him to get out and ran after him out of the door. My brother was compliant and would have left even if the bald man had talked kindly. It was very inappropriate and, daily bread pasta needs better service with better employees. That man needs to change his terrible attitude, and approach to certain situation. Shame on him. He represents the company and doesn’t show a good picture. The bread there is very good but when they have such terrible service, it cancels out. We assured you we will not be coming here, and we will be discouraging others...
