Today I visited Asopao in White Plains NY. I've lived in White Plains before so i know how parking tickets work around here. $25.00 and they have a force to hand them out. That being said I didn't think I needed more than 40 minutes to eat from a restaurant where food is already ready in a steam table. Boy was I wrong up on arrival the only person working was on the phone taking phone orders. 2 people in front of me so I decided to wait. 30 minutes later after I was told I was next gave him my order he grabbed the plate to serve me and walked away to deal with customers and payment. They already ate I thought why not take care of me that I was patiently waiting. Well he walked in to the kitchen and I walked out the door lucky with 2 minutes left on the meter. So I didn't get the ticket but I also didn't get any food If your pressed for time think about it or leave enough money in the meter.
Went to City Limits dinner free parking and got service right away. Eating a fat burger right now
Thanks Asopao
Today June 1st I received a notification for response to my review from the owner of Asopao restaurant in White Plains NY
I took a screenshot and uploaded it for people to see. He didn't apologize for wasting my time at his business establishment or to rectify by offering me a way to make it right. All he did was put in form as a question
A Burger at a diner right away?
I don't know what that means or what he was trying to get out of it but here it is. The owner which name did not show on response to review has poor business knowledge.
Here's what he should have said instead.
Mt. Rivera I'm sorry you had a bad experience and we could not attend you at my establishment, let's make it right by invitation to come and dine with us and give us one more chance to make your experience different.
Your response is...
Read moreThe weather was cold and damp so I was looking for the perfect soup so I went to Asopao restaurant in whitePlains. It was late in the day so I wasn’t sure if they still had sancocho but luckily there was enough for a serving or two. The server who prepared the soup was slow and picky about how much meat and vegetables he was putting into the container and proceed to fill it with broth. At the register I thought they were hoping to sell the remaining portion of soup but then the owner at the register asked my server if there was any soup left cause he wanted to eat the rest. When I took the soup home I discovered that the container was mostly filled with broth and had almost no meat and vegetables. I was so disappointed that they cared little about me as a customer so I bought all the ingredients the next day and made Sancocho at home that could feed ten. So for those of you who want soup from Asopao beware you might get treated similarly. Excuse me for not...
Read moreReally disappointed in my experience here. We came for lunch afternoon and the service was insanely slow. It took 30 minutes to get our food and it was very difficult communicating with the staff when asking how much longer it would be. The ordering was also quite confusing as some people came in and seemed to order from the front buffet looking area and immediately got to eat. We however, sat down and ordered, and saw some of the food being prepared from this same area, but it took 30 mins to be served. Very confusing. We ordered the chicken soup and fried chicken with rice and beans. The soup was good, but I wasn’t excited to have to pick through bones/it was difficult to do in a soup. The fried chicken was also fine, but I expected it to be with some sort of sauce or something? It’s nothing at all what I was expecting and pretty dry. We asked for black beans and got pinto, but they were fine. Honestly I...
