Shiki Sushi & Yakitori — Restaurant in City of White Plains

This is a great sushi stop if you are in the Westchester area and you are craving some amazing sushi. My girlfriend and i went here for the first time , and it will absolutely not be our last times there.

First off, the restaurant was quiet and relaxing (on a Saturday night). It made the experience very warm and intimate.

Our waiter was very professional and kind. He took our orders quickly and in just a few minutes our appetizer was already on the table. We got the Pork Gyoza which was delicious.

For our main course we got the Sakura roll to share. I got a California roll and a Crispy spicy Tuna roll for myself. My girlfriend ordered a Salmon avocado roll and a spicy crunchy salmon roll. Everything was really good and well prepared.

Our favorites were the Sakura roll and the Crispy spicy tuna roll.

Another thing worth mentioning is that we ordered a soda too but it seemed like they forgot about it. When i asked again for the soda we ordered, our waiter got us the soda and gave us free ice cream on the house. I thought this was not necessary at all , but was a very pleasant surprise.

We stopped here passing through town and were delighted with every dish! We ordered the sushi and sashimi for two which was gorgeous to look at and even better to eat - Exceptionally fresh and tasty. Others has a ramen dish, fried rice, and udon which everyone raved about. The miso soup and seaweed salad were among our favorites anywhere and we consume a lot of these dishes. Besides a delightful meal that exceeded expectations, the service was excellent and everything was so clean. Jack, our waiter, was attentive and made great suggestions. He surprised us with a complimentary dessert of green tea ice cream for our table, also elegantly displayed. I wish I had taken photos because even the ice cream was presented so beautifully. Had a great meal here. I was very impressed with the quality of the sushi. Most sushi in the area is all about the same. But I felt this was noticeably better. On top of that the server was not only quick and attentive but genuinely nice and so friendly. That is what really prompted me to write the review. He was nice to the kids and even brought us a little ice cream on the house after the meal. I'm sure that's not the norm but was certainly very appreciated. He also asked us if we wanted spicy mayo or eel sauce with our meal and brought it for us. I've never seen that at any sushi place before.
