Tl;dr: Terrible in-store pick-up & bare bones skeletal service desk staff (1 person!) during the holiday season. Be sure to complain loudly to get staff to actually serve you, but be prepared that the service will still be terrible.
Ordered in store pick-up and was there at 11:51 am today, when pickup lines were listed as "low" on the app. When I got there, there was one long line at the returns & pick-ups desk, and only one young girl helping customers behind the desk. Note that the whole time I was there (a wasted 25-30 min total) there was another employee behind the desk, an old lady simply scanning items from a mountain of clutter and letting NOT ONE but TWO lines of angry customers build up.
5 minutes after I arrive, someone asks if there is a separate pick-up line, and suddenly half a dozen people are in a new line to the side with no employee helping them or promised to arrive anytime soon. The only employee there says she'll have to switch between the 2 lines. She continued to working through the first line and ignoring the second cashierless line entirely.
That was until of course it was finally my turn. Young cashier tells me that she can't do pick-ups and that there's a separate line for that. I explain that there was only one line when I arrived 10 min prior, and that there is still only one cashier working.
Then the woman who started the pick-up line (and got there 5 min after me) continued asking about the second register, so the young girl suddenly "switched" to the other line, for the first time, and did in fact take care of her pick-up order.
EVEN THOUGH SHE JUST TOLD ME SHE COULDN'T DO PICK-UPS. EVEN THOUGH I WAS THERE BEFORE THE CUSTOMER SHE PRIORITIZED. Maybe it was because that customer complained more vocally.
Moral: Be prepared to COMPLAIN LOUDLY BECAUSE IT'LL DRASTICALLY IMPROVE YOUR SERVICE LEVELS, which will still be terrible.
The young girl tells me she can't work on multiple pick-up bar codes at once, disappears for 10-15 min, comes back with 2 items, says she needs to find one more time, disappears for another 5-10 min. The other customer (who she was "helping") leaves.
The short manager finally finishes working through the first line, then got to me. Young employee returns with another item while the 'manager' was helping me, and slowly moves around behind the desk, processing that the other customer left, while the line continued to grow. Target's inadequate staffing levels were not helped by the complete lack of any sense of urgency from what 1-2 employees were actually 'helping' customers in this high traffic department. It felt like waiting in line at the post office.
Overall disgraceful,...
Read moreMy wife went there the other day. The moment she walked in the woman who stands behind the computer at the front who wears the bright shirt I believe it says Security stared her down, minutes later she was followed by a man for 15 minutes throughout the women’s store. This Man abused her with the woman. This an llemployee would not Stop following her and hiding and staring at her with threatening looks sometimes hiding behind shelves. She was terrified. When she went to the clothing aisles two other men in regular clothes did the same. Hiding then following her every step. She was stalked and harrsssed for 45 minutes non stop. She was leaving the store a man with dreadlocks forced her into a locked room with security woman blocking the door. He threw a box at her. She picked this up in clearance and when she examined the box later she found it empty and put it back. He used this to intimidate her and accuse her despite him knowing she put this back. He screamed at her made her take her own personal items out of her purse even after seeing no theft occurred. The woman in security held the door closed locked in the small room she was forced into. He must have secretly found her name out and yelled she was a thief and trespassed. She tried to leave the woman wouldn’t let her out. He kept yelling her name with threats as she was able to run to the door when the woman looked away and escaped they continued yelling her name screaming she was a theft and would be harmed. This is a crime. She proved herself innocent yet the abuse and punishment and threats never stoped when sgd reported fvis to corporate they also were accusatory. They violated her and her rights. They need to be investigated but no one will. Women, being mase and security to protect yourself. She’s shaking days later and beyond terrified. Target did nothing to help her. This is very...
Read moreA nice place to shop at. ...but not many registers are open alot of the time, even times when it gets crowded.
Why does this store need expensive Starbucks coffee selling there??? I want Pizza Hut back. It was nice grabbing a pizza when you wanted something quick to go or if some have kids to do the same.
Same old, same old at times when it come to clothing most of the time. The quality has gone down a bit (don't believe anyone who says the quality is good. Not alot in 100% cotton like before in kids women's, etc. Lots of cheap rayon instead, some in partly polyester or other fibers/fabrics) while prices have gone up a bit in the clothing and some shoes more so than other products depending. Selection or styles and more color in shoes could be better (alot of subdued or basic colors).
Most workers are nice and helpful. Do get occasionally one or two that are not either helpful (not wanting to help) or both. Store is clean.
The housewares section has really nice stuff at times for decorating your home and making it look beautiful! That I will say. Prices are somewhat reasonable depending. Good sales/mark downs are the way to go if you find something really nice. *This review has...
