Dunne's Pub — Restaurant in City of White Plains

This place has a very comfortable hometown pub feel. They don’t have a ton of beers on tap, not a craft beer place, but they have Guinness and reasonable prices. I have only eaten here once so I can’t give a full fair assessment of their food. I got wings and nachos. I was not impressed with the wings and thought the Nachos were some of the worst Nachos I have ever had... I have not ordered food ever since, but I think I should give them another chance at some point. In particular I would like to try the corned beef and cabbage which they have year round. Most of the four stars I rate this is based on the overall feel of this pub and the atmosphere as my overall experience with food was not good and there definitely isn’t much of a beer selection. If you’re looking for those two things there are better places to try. If your looking for a hood hometown pub to sit down and tip a couple pints of Guinness this...

“More than just pub food” should be this places slogan. I like seeing the same staff and the food is fantastic - way better than what pub food should be. Never had an issue with food or drinks, more than I can say about most places in White Plains.

It’s also within walking distance of our house which gives it a very European “our pub” feel.

That said, they do charge 3.5% for using a card which is annoying as it feels they’re double dipping. 3.5% interchange has always been there, only in recent years are they passing it to customers.

Called ahead to ask about their lunch hours, because I specifically wanted to get something on the lunch menu. The girl responds we have specials all day anytime. I explained I specifically wanted something on the lunch menu, she laughed at me, and said 5 I guess? I walked over there for over 30 minutes for this, got there well before 5, and they did not offer the meal I wanted at that time. I explained what happened, that it was their employee who told me I could have it until 5, and not only did they not honor it, the manager/owner refused...
