This has got to be the most unprofessional, disorganized Chuck E Cheese that I have ever been to. The person at the front counter was completely aloof and argumentative and ended up charging me quite a bit extra despite me stating and showing her the exact deal we wanted multiple times. When I realized I was upcharged for things I didn’t ask for, I came back up and requested that money to be refunded. They got a few workers at the register and then they eventually gave me a receipt and said they just voided the transaction and that the entirety of the transaction would go back on my card and I was good to go. I was surprised but said thank you and went on my way. Half way through my time here, I was stopped and approached and then told I needed to pay for everything all over again which was extremely frustrating. No one seemed be able to communicate effectively and they seemed very immature, distracted, and preoccupied with their personal lives. The person at the front counter and the person doing the check out/stamping were too worried about yelling across the counter to one another about cats and each others boyfriends in the middle of me trying to talk with the cashier. I see multiple charges on my bank and it has been a nightmare trying to get sorted out. Not only that, but the majority of the sodas were out or flat, the overall environment was dingy, and there was a birthday party going on not too far away from our table where a worker got into an altercation with a very young child and their family that nearly turned physical. Instead of handling it professionally, I watched him and two of his coworkers (one of which being the same front counter worker) stand back by the pickup window near our table laughing, gossiping, and pointing fingers towards the family from the party. Although I did not utilize the women’s restroom, my husband told me he couldn’t even use the men’s bathroom because the toilet(s) were covered in urine. Many of the games were broken and used up points we couldn’t get back but my child still managed to have a good time and earned a lot of tickets. The ticket counter worker was the same person from the front counter and she was incredibly overwhelming when it came time to pick out prizes. She wouldn’t allow my kindergartener to make his own choices on what he wanted to pick and when I tried to show him some of the items available, she would immediately interrupt me and continue talking over me and trying to shove items in his face that he didn’t ask for. Honestly what angered me the most was when my son asked for a little plastic pinball favor prize and this woman had the audacity to ask me if he was smart enough to be able to use it. My jaw dropped. At that point I was so fed up with the entire trip we just hurried up and finished our transaction and left. I am appalled and beyond frustrated with this experience. This was supposed to be a fun night out and a treat for my son who’s been begging to come and play and it ended up being an expensive nightmare from beginning to end. We will not be returning to...
Read moreI took my 3 year old daughter to the Clarksville location this week. We went with my brother, sister-in-law and my 6 year old niece. This trip was extra special because my daughter and I live in Canada and we don't have a Chuck E. Cheese up there. Our visit was mediocre. Don't get me wrong, the girls had a blast. It was the staff that was less than impressionable. At the prize counter, the staff member was unengaged and seemed annoyed that she even had to be there. She definitely didn't seem to be "kid friendly" either. Anyway, we quickly picked out our prizes so we could leave her alone. Afterwards, I wanted to make a cash purchase for a few items as souvenirs for the girls. She very rudely informed me that she didn't have a register and I'd have to go ask someone else. So here's the best part-- amongst all that, I ended up leaving my iPhone on the counter. 15 minutes later when we got to my brothers house, we called to ask if it was still there. They said yes, we have it. We said we'd be back up in 15mins to pick it up. Once we arrive, the staff member said that someone else had already came to get it?? I was floored. I asked them how they could give away a $1,000 iPhone to someone without verification (i.e. asking them what the screen saver picture was, asking them to put in the passcode, etc.). I couldn't believe this. My daughter and I were leaving to go back home to Canada in 2 days- and I wouldn't have a phone. We spoke to the GM of the store and she was extremely unhelpful, unprofessional, rude and over all disappointing. As a GM, you would think you'd have more respect for your customers and want to help them in having a great experience. She did nothing for us, literally just said that there was nothing they can do. We ended up having to call the police, who got it all handled for us. My family and friends will never support this location again. Extremely dissatisfied with their staff!! Despicable. ...
Read moreDisappointed with the Cancellation Policy
I was really looking forward to hosting my child’s birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese, but unfortunately, we had to adjust our plans due to unexpected illness. Despite notifying them in advance, I was shocked to learn that their cancellation policy is extremely rigid, offering no flexibility or refunds even in situations beyond our control.
Unlike other family entertainment venues that at least offer rescheduling or partial credit, Chuck E. Cheese refuses to make any accommodations. Their terms are written in a way that completely favors them, leaving customers with no options if circumstances change.
What’s even more concerning is that they do not seem to account for basic public health concerns. Why wouldn’t they want families to stay home when they’re sick? Their policy actively discourages responsible behavior by forcing parents to either lose their money or bring sick children and guests, which is completely counterintuitive to proper infectious disease control. A business that caters to children should be more mindful of health risks and offer reasonable exceptions for illnesses.
A family-oriented business should show some level of understanding, especially when dealing with children’s events. I’d advise anyone booking a party here to read the fine print carefully. Once you pay, your money is gone, no matter what happens.
Disappointing and frustrating experience. I will be taking my business elsewhere...
