I tried to be civil regarding my experience at Steak 'n Shake but it has been to no avail. My visit was on 02/13/18 and that has been my last visit since apparently they do not appreciate their customers. My family and I stopped to get a quick bite to eat via drive thru. We placed our order(will upload proof of order) and had to wait quite a while for our order. This is not a problem for me as long as my food is hot and correct. When they brought our order out the manager just brought us our milkshakes and walks off. I call her back and ask her where is the rest of my order. She responded with oh you ordered food? I look at her and say yes. Then I tell her she gave us the wrong milkshakes. We ordered 2 cookies and cream shakes and she gave us 2 cookie dough shakes. She goes back in and we wait about another 7-10 minutes. She comes back with our order. I pull up to an empty parking spot and start handing out the food to my kids. I immediately notice that the medium fries we ordered we're have full and cold. My kids then tell me that there burgers are cold. So I go in and tell them this is unacceptable. They then make my order over. I get back to the car and hand out the burgers and when I take the fries out I noticed they gave us small fries instead of the medium fries we ordered and paid for. At this time I am more than furious and decided not to go back in because I did not want to ruin the experience of the people that were eating in. I called Steak'n Shake corporate office and told them of my experience. They stated they will refund my order and have a manager call me. On our way home my wife tells me that the cookies and cream shake tastes weird. I told her that maybe they are using a different brand of sandwich cookies. Little to my surprise when we get towards the bottom it had chunks of cookie dough. I called corporate back and informed them of this and they apologized and stated they will correct this and they will get in contact with us. I waited about a month and did not hear back. I called to follow up and they stated they will escalate. Called back at the end of May because they still hadn't refunded my money and never contacted me. Representative stated they have escalated the ticket and will be contacted back within 48 hours. It has been almost 2 weeks and nothing. They now have lost my business for the future and I highly advise anyone to go somewhere else if you are thinking about going here. I have been more than fair with giving Steak'n Shake time to...

Went in to get food for my family, checked the bag and noticed one burger was off, so I went inside to let them know this, but I didn’t say I Paid for it, and asked for the burger. I just said I didn’t get a burger I asked for b/c I knew I was gonna pay is why I had my card in hand. This dude told me to go outside and get my food, so he could check my receipt I’m like..huh?!.. 🤨 so whatever, (I didn’t even have an attitude about it) I went outside to retrieve the food w/ card in hand, this the funny part. He thought I was “trying to steal” b/c he misheard what I had told him. And.. he knew what burger I had asked for, b/c he spoke of the order🙄so again.. I'm like whatever. I pay on the kiosk, and wait for it. This same dumb@@@ makes a burger in FRONT of me, and cooks it, then stacks the burgers and slide it down the line to be finished preparing. I also hear whispering why, is she standing there?, I ignored it, and wait for my paid food. I’m thinking this prepared burger getting made is mine, but then.. the unthinkable happens😳this big girl who took my order in drive thru walked from the back w/ a bag in hand Bagged up, hands it to me and walks away. Now.. I would’ve questioned why this happened, her coming from the back w/ a burger already made in a bag and I haven’t seen NOONE COOK!! clearly I wasn’t thinking, it was a long day and all I wanted was my food. So we get home and it was on my mind to tell my husband who’s burger it was to Pray over his food. (That’s the LORD)so.. Halfway through eating his food, he noticed IT WAS RAW!!!😳🤨😡🤦♀️🙄 all these emotions inside, all I could do was call and report it. After explaining what happened, I also informed them that if my husband comes up sick, (his words)we know why.. yes his stomach was upset and he was in the toilet the next morning SICK FROM eating Raw food. Read moreToday we came in as a party of 9. One was a toddler who uses a high chair. We arrived right after a party of 6 and no one spoke to either of us a solid 5 minutes. She gave a young man her party size and he told her 10 minute wait. Then a lady walked up in front of me and said party of 4 and I said excuse me we were here first. The other lady also stated that. He proceeded to seat her anyway without knowledge of our party size. So, when I told him our party size I was told 20 minutes. Almost the entire booth section was empty so I suggested seating us as 2 tables of 4 since we were paying that way anyway and the toddler in her high chair to which his response was 20 minute wait. I asked for an explanation why and he told me to wait and walked away to seat another table. He came back and told me that the servers aren’t capable of handling our party size even as separate tables. Then he sat a 3rd table. At this point myself and the lady with party of 6 spoke up again about why they are seating others and not trying to accommodate us and he told us they are to seat smaller tables first. This is simply NOT true. So, I said again “if we were to seat separate and I said 2 tables of 4 then what?” He said that it would still be a 20 minute wait and proceeded to seat 2 more tables. At this point upwards of 20 people were now seated BEFORE our 9 and their 6 top. This is simply unacceptable. We left, and the party of 6 left. Management seemed to not care. SNS used to go with LEARN. Listen, Empathize, Apologize, Respond, NEXTRA. NOONE there cared to even listen and in fact were pushed away with the employee who is there to do exactly that.. LISTEN.
