Well I thought it would be a step above the average fast food environment considering right off the pricing but the atmosphere was almost like a Wendy's, Arby's or McDonald's..too fast like number one. They were packed and tons of ppl ordering in line felt rushed and looked over considering my friend and I had never been there and was telling cashier and sort of asking about menu and items it seems like she was just trying to shuffle ppl out of there. For two meals was almost $50!!!!!! Like spending it at at the places mentioned above, I was shocked!!!! We couldn't find items like straws, lids, sauces and such and asked a rushed, crazed woman working in the dining room..we had to ask about if they bring food or we get it. The wait time wasn't bad but it was reflected in the food that came out. Kinda thrown on tray, the teas and lemonades were lackluster and there were no distancing or disinfecting and empty sanitizer. By the time were were eating there was a long seriously 20 ppl wrappers around waiting to order and table were hardly cleaning, exposed plastic ware...then my friend had to wait and wait for to go boxed and twice had to go back then get a bag!The food wasn't real southern BBQ from deep South and shameful representation of it! And by far not even close to being charged $50 for it. I'm sry but I won't be going back. Seriously overcharged, no safety/ sanitation precautions and deserts on front counter while tons of customers passed by. No handwashing station I saw for employees and women's hair hardly restrained. Seriously overpriced, not focused on sanitation, workers not focused on present customer, rushing and not focused and not enough employees or organization and where are they even thinking it's ok to overcharge for that sad mess. I recommend strongly not to go there if u want a bang for it buck or precautions to stay safe or feeling satisfied having spent that money. I'm sry but it's sincerely true bc ppl work hard for their money and they should enjoy...
Read moreI’ve really enjoyed going to Mission BBQ. We first went on Veterans Day so my husband could get his free sandwich(we read about it online). So glad we went because the pulled pork and the brisket are delicious. I’ve been so impressed with how much pork they load onto the sandwiches. It’s great quality pork and the sauces on the tables are so yummy and fun to mix it up every time you go. I’ve settled on the Tupelo Honey Heat being my favorite sauce. The sides are yummy too, with the Mac n cheese and the fresh fries being my favorite. The baked beans are cooked with brisket and also delicious. I’ve enjoyed the green beans and the seasonal potato bake as well. The staff are pretty awesome here, they’ve always been super kind and helpful. First time there I wasn’t sure how it all worked and they were really nice and didn’t make me feel stupid for asking silly questions. Probably the best part about this place, other than the consistently yummy meats, is the rewards clubs. We joined the birthday gang and they send you coupons for free sandwiches for your birthday. They even sent us one for Christmas. Might not seem like much but when you’re down on your luck and don’t have much money for food it’s pretty incredible to go someplace like this and get a practically free meal. I really respect this company and appreciate everything they do. In fact, we’ll be going in for dinner tonight because it’s my husbands birthday week! Can’t wait for another yummy...
Read moreDecided to try this barbecue place when we were driving through Clarksville Tennessee recently. Living in the Kansas City area and visiting places like Memphis and Texas I've had the opportunity to experience some of the best barbecue in the world. This was not it. The first thing you notice about the restaurant is its connection to law enforcement and military personnel, from their directions to their fundraising efforts. I applaud them for this and I'm glad they're supporting those who serve. But I would remind them that as a restaurant their first priority has to be good food. The food was not very good. The barbecue sauce is extremely sweet, easily two or three times as sweet as any other barbecue sauce we've tried. The brisket was dry. We did have pulled pork and pulled chicken and both of those were moist but didn't have much flavor. I was particularly excited about the hand cut fries, unfortunately they were cold and soggy. The beans tasted like they had been dumped out of a can mixed with brown sugar and warmed until they were tepid. Overall it was pretty disappointed. The place looks great and again I love their connection to people who serve and they're willingness to support those communities. But the food definitely needs more attention. It was so disappointing, we threw it away and...
