I would definitely go back. Service was very good. The food we ordered was excellent. Pace was nice. They do have to get some things figured out. That's ok, they've only been open a couple of weeks. There is a vegan menu! There are lots of veg & vegan options. Con: Gardein & Impossible make an appearance. I can do that at home. It always feels like a half effort to me in a elevated dining restaurant. If they want to be fast casual that's fine, but they seem to be wanting to be more elevated. Pro: The $32 lion's mane rib eye with garlic mashed potatoes & grilled asparagus is fantastic. The menu also has some very creative items on it that you don't see everywhere. It's like they want to be high end, but haven't fully committed. My cocktail was very refined & served in crystal stemware. My dinner guest had a giant plastic syringe in hers. There's fancy brocade wallpaper and an ornate mirror, but also cheap Halloween decorations. There's a really great space sitting room adjacent to the main dining, but it's filled with furniture that feels more like grannies country living room. Could be a very cool space with the right decor. The main menu is well done. The three secondary menus are not ready for front of house with their random fonts and scratched out not available items on varying papers unless they're going for local dive vibe. The plates are mismatched giving me a Mabel Grey feel. All in all let's get out there and support this new restaurant. Plus you can...
Read moreFirst off- if you love creative delicious food and are debating where to go this is your answer.
Went here with my partner to celebrate and we had an ✨amazing✨ meal. We were literally saying “wow” so consider us wow’d.
We had the Szechuan ribs as an appetizer- they were so delicious (yes they are spicy). The salad underneath made the perfect combination with the ribs- I’m not normally a rib person but we both LOVED these. Our mains were both delicious (they have lions mane which I’ve always wanted to try). We had an earl grey crème brûlée dessert which was my favorite rendition of this dessert I’ve ever had so far.
Service was fantastic, our server was very friendly and attentive. The passion of putting the menu and the place together really shines through.
Other thoughts:
Could maybe use some kind of light barrier between the top part at least of the kitchen and the dining area to preserve the mood lighting from being hit by the harsh kitchen lights. Perhaps also a dessert menu to show the dessert options.
Would love to see oyster mushroom fried chicken one day on the menu 👀 I feel like this is the kind of place who would...
Read moreOur group of six practically ordered the entire menu and shared everything—and wow, it was one hit after another. ⭐️ The service was on point from start to finish, and the atmosphere had this cool, laid-back vibe that made the night even better. The food? Exceptionally creative—American comfort classics with an Asian flare that really worked.
Every appetizer delivered, especially the ribs with just the right kick 🔥. I’m still not sure how their Caesar salad was that good 🥗. The bao buns were a check ✔️, all the flatbreads were total standouts 🍕, and the desserts were next level. The carrot cake was incredible, and the crème brûlée was rich, delicious, and totally shareable 🍮.
If I had one suggestion, it would be to elevate the bar program a bit. Some signature cocktails, a true mixologist behind the bar, copper mule mugs, big ice cubes, and Luxardo cherries for an old fashioned would really complete the experience 🍸🧊🍒.
Overall, our group loved Red and the Wolf and we highly recommend this Clawson gem 💎. And hats off to the manager for professionally defusing a pretty unusual little “tiff” between a few patrons 👏—handled with...
