we ordered 2 carneasada burritos and what we got was not even close to what we ordered. when i was eating it didnt seem quite right but by the time i was about 2/3 done with it i realized the reason was because there was no steak, there was ham and ground beef and potatoes, so i took what i had left of the one and the whole other burrito back with the receipt, and the young man at the register said "we can redo the one that wasnt eaten but we cant do anything about the one you ate" i asked further about that it was not what i had ordered and brought back what was left by the time i realized it was wrong. he just looked at me and said "but you ate it." i dropped it at that point because there wasnt a manager present to talk to. the fact that i had to drive back and use extra gas and time for their mistake should have been more than enough to warrant refunding both. so i started waiting for at least the one, but before i could even react he grabbed the untouched mystery burrito AND what was left of the second burrito and threw them both away before i would say anything. so not only did i NOT get what i had ordered for one of them, they actively threw away what i could have at least finished. at the very least he should have returned my uneaten portion. This is not acceptable behavior. I came in with a smile and tried to behave and reslove the issue courteously, but i left with a feeling of disbelief and just feeling like i never wanted to come back to this restaurant. other fast food places that this sort of thing has happened, they replaced the mistaken order and told me i could keep the incorrect order because they would just be trashing it anyway and might as well not waste it. there was no such mentality here. feel like i was stolen from. what was i supposed to do, offer to throw up what i had eaten right there since it was being thrown away anyway? i dont think i will be going back to that location unless there is some kind of apology and recompense.
update: we talked with the manager and they kept talking us in circles and saying that the piece was not very big so they would do nothing about it. she didnt care that they threw away what i had bought and paid for. there was enough left to be very clear that this was the wrong thing. They cared more about not being accountable for the messed up order than making sure the customer was taken care of. it obviously wasn't about the money because they threw the perfectly good full burrito in the trash. this could have been a very easy just replace both and be done and have a greatful customer, but that is not the case now. i am definitely not coming back here after this experience, and i will be reporting this to their management...
Read moreMe and my fiance Made an Uber eats order to this location not even an hour ago. Uber delivery driver was wonderful Uber eats was great, great service great customer service by UE, great time and efficiency and delivered with great care...they even refunded us for our expired food we received from rancheritos. This rancherito's location in Clearfield across from the Smiths store is NOT safe to eat at. the manager happy Clearfield rancherito's location, female, do not know a name as she made a great point to relay her messages through her employee rather than to speak with us herself, she did not want to see any pictures of the expired sour cream that looks similar to cottage cheese or blue cheese, expired dairy is a risk to health and safety it is absolutely one of the biggest concerns people who go into first foodservice should be aware of the educated on and avidly check for expired dairy. The manager was rude did not want to talk to us herself did not want to allow us to show her the expired sour cream. She told her in for you to tell us that we could hear her in the background that they have no control over what sour cream looks like, this is not a concern about what the sour cream on the carne asada fries looked like although again it looks like curdled milk, cottage cheese, not sour cream not how she sour cream should look. The fries were undercooked and the bean and cheese burrito we purchased have no sour cream in it, the manager tried to put the blame on and make her employee communicate with us rather than handling it herself, I feel bad for the man as he seems like a nice guy and wanted to help but his manager was making him say no and refused to talk to us or allow us to show them the expired dairy on top of the carne asada fries. Ubereats refunded us and credited us for the trouble as well as they are reviewing the food safety concern we reported, they were wonderful but this rancherito's location is not safe nor or maintained by a professional manager. STAY AWAY...
Read moreWell the poorly drawn,, empty ash tray of a tip jar is well deserved. You step inside the suffocatingly small joint that passes for a restaurant, I guess the monotony of the music is somehow literally in character for the theme of the restaurant but makes a sit in impossibly dull. Too cheap for restrooms, impersonal, rude staff that can't speak English had a nasty encounter with one woman who seemed obsessed with getting her pen back while I asked for sauce at the drive through. Putting fancy Spanish names in front of pig scraps and garbage doesn't make it any less repulsive or authentic. Drinks are overpriced but I don't know. It's a crowded, small joint with a bathroom sized equivalent of a sit-down area, and seemed to be under the impression that copious amounts of grease, and pig fat, with more grease chunks some adds flavor. Steak chunks tastes dehydrated, kind of like the rancid smell if dog food. Also staff is rude. That's a big deal. I don't want to interact with sentient meat puppets who make me speak excessively loud and repeat myself over and over. Pretty extraneous if you...
