I am writing to share my recent experience in the hopes that it may save someone out there the time and inconvenience. I placed a future order using the Dunkin app for 3 dozen donuts and a box o' joe for my team of associates. After 30 minutes, I decided that I wanted to go a different route and get away from all the sweets of the holiday season. I called the location at 2551 Gulf to Bay and nobody picked up. I assumed they were busy as it was the weekend before Xmas, so I waited and called again. I finally got in touch with someone and told them I had decided to cancel my order. They were polite enough on the phone and I assumed this would take care of it. I wanted to be sure that they didn't waste the time and effort to prepare the product since I wouldn't be there to pick it up. They had charged me in the app when I placed the order, which is understandable, to ensure that they are compensated whether I show up or not. Having canceled the order, I expected that the charge would drop off after the long weekend. I waited an entire week, but the charge never came off. I contacted Dunkin via their app and was sent a response by an agent named Maurice for case #13038269. I replied to the e-mail with the requested information to ask for a refund to my card. 4 days later, I received the exact same message from "Maurice," who I'm thinking isn't real at this point. Here I am two weeks later with no refund. I ended up going through my bank to get a refund. I'm truly not sure who is at fault here. I don't know if the store should've issued the refund when I canceled the order, or if the corporate office should've handled it through the app. Either way, this needs to be addressed as I'm sure I'm not the only person who's ever had this issue. I will not do business with them again because of this. I'm tired of everything being so unnecessarily difficult for no reason. Read moreI made my first attempt to place an order for 18 boxes of coffee on 9/25/18, but they told me they would write this order down and to call the day before needing the coffee to remind them. Fast forward 1 week and I called yesterday on 10/2/18 to remind them of my order. At this point I knew it was going to be troublesome because they didn't have any recollection of me calling the first time a week prior. A man answered the phone and said he was passing the phone on to a woman of whom will take my order and she did. She even repeated my order to me. I told her Id like to pay over the phone and she handed it back to a man whom stated, "I'm sorry but we don't accept payment over the phone due to our policy and your privacy.", I said OK, and that we would pay for it upon pickup. I even confirmed with him my order because the woman had bad English and I wanted to be 100% sure. He then continued to say that it would be ready for our pickup on 10/3/18 (today) at 7:30 am. Today, the day is here to get my 18 boxes of coffee, I walk in and tell them I had called yesterday to order and confirm my pickup for my coffee, and they say, "There is no coffee. We haven't had any orders for a coffee order of that size." They continued to argue with me stating that I did not call them to remind them of my order. So I waited there for an hour after the fact to get my coffee, and they ever threw in "1" box of donuts for my troubles - even though I spent over $200 dollars on coffee and had an hour to wait after confirming my order over the phone the day prior.
