ATTN OWNER/MANAGER : Today’s dining experience was awful! PLEASE be way more picky on who you hire as it definitely reflects very poorly on your restaurant when service is beyond bad and unprofessional.
The waitress with pink hair was not very friendly almost pushy to get our orders taken and then never once checked on our table after the food was put down. It was apparent she was more interested in socializing and being loud with the other waitresses/staff huddled at the far end, talking and laughing ! It would’ve been real nice to have our drinks refilled or asked how things were and if we needed anything, you know like waitresses normally do but it did NOT happen. Also, my daughter had to switch seats as the air duct above her was dripping on her arm. Isn’t anyone paying attention to what’s going on in here???!!!! I finally got up and walked over to get a to-go box where I had to interrupt her chatting away, she handed me a to-go box and went right back to talking. You think that would’ve been a clue to stop socializing and honestly she should’ve been embarrassed but she is obviously clueless and appeared to care less. Additionally, my daughter had to ask the cashier for a bag to place her to-go box in, something else the waitress should’ve taken care of but again she never left her social circle, the entire time! I’m sure the waitress came to her senses when she saw the lack of tip. Generally I tip more than 20% but not today, her loss!!
MGMT: I’ve been to this restaurant several times but not for a little while and it used to be amazing and the waitresses were spot on. I’m not sure what’s happened but I did notice your sign for help wanted for waitresses, cooks and cashiers. Hopefully you gain a better staff of people who care and weed out the ones who are dragging your restaurant down. There are so many restaurants in our area and many within a stones throw who have a caring, professional, attentive kind staff. I’m not sure if it’s worth returning any time soon. ...
Read moreYou can tell this place has gone downhill since it opened in the early 90’s. Ordered the Turkey Hoagie. Extremely lack luster. Hoagie bread was from the next door Publix, barely any meat. Sandwich comes with Mayo, tomato, lettuce. Sadly, all chopped (to save $), and placed on top of the chip chopped meat (the save $) so needless to say they just fall off the sandwich and you’re left with a small sandwich. The fries were better than the sandwich, but they use “House Recipe” brand catchup, watery and lacks taste. The brewed tea tasted terrible because of the chlorine taste in the water. Switched to a Coke that tasted off. I would recommend water filtration. The pickle was flimsy and very average for “Pickle Plus Deli” it’s obvious that they cutting costs, but the food was not good at all like it was back in the day. You can obviously tell they’re trying to cut costs. I’d rather eat Jersey Mikes or at the next door Publix for a much larger sun and much less. $13.49 for just the sandwich!! $1.99 up charge for fries. I miss the original owners. The family now in charge has driven it into the ground and have lost their predecessors original vision of fresh homemade deli...
Read moreStart by adding this to your top three choices for lunch, its that good! They have a lot of choices on their menu, both for breakfast and lunch. They have booth and table seating. They have cold and hot sandwiches, fresh salads, and quality sides. Example: the French fries are all full cuts rather than a basket of overcooked slivers. They have incredible half pound hamburgers which is not typical of most delicatessens. They are willing to customize sandwiches off menu. Example: They will grill or melt a corned beef or pastrami to order. They will provide a two piece of bread sandwich from a "triple decker" if you like. Example: They will take the Pickles Favorite and omit the third piece of bread. The service was excellent and the server was very helpful and attentive to our table. She was very knowledgeable of the menu items and extras that you might like. She was friendly, polite, and very professional. If you want to impress someone with a good lunch, this is the place to take them. I will be a regular at this place from now on, I recommend that you do the same.
