I could write a full paper on how much I adore this quaint place we (family of 7) called home for 4 day. We stayed in the bigger suit room 105 and it had 2 bedrooms: one with 2 queen beds and the other room had a king sized bed. There are 2 couch sleepers down stairs, which this place could easily accommodate 10 people. There are 3 porches. One one the water, one balcony upstairs overlooking the water and lower porch, and a front porch that has a view if the pool, of you have little that need to be watched. We can via train and didn't bring beach items like chairs, umbrellas, ect. They have a selection of chairs, umbrellas, wagons, toys, at a first come first served basis and best of all, it's free. Terrie (I believe her name was) is a doll. She took suck good care of us. Our train didn't leave until 5:20pm, check out was 10am. She let us use the pool hang out until we left for the train. The best part of this gem is the Jolley trolly stop is right in front of the place. You pay $5 a day and it makes stops allllll over Clearwater and will take you practically every where, aquarium pier 60 and all. You can avoid the crowds but still get to the "main strip" with into a 10 min walk (it's quite the stroll to do wvery day with 4 kids under 10) or hop on trolley ride. Kids 8 and under are free to ride!!! Sonwe paid $20 to ride infinitely all day. So worth the investment. The convenience of the trolly and being away from the crowds makes this hidden gem a perfect vacation spot for families especially those with kids. I highly recommend this place and i am kind of relictant to leave a review because I selfishly want it to remain hidden. The home like feel draws you in. It is very clean and they have all the amenities you need with a full kitchen, laundry, and 3 bathrooms....you read that right, THREE FULL BATHROOMS! My kids and mother in law could all take showers at one time and there was no waiting for eachother to get out. We were able to wash our clothes before leaving and that was nice not to have to worry about laundry when we got home. Over all the place exceedes my expectation. I rarely leave reviews and this place deserved every second of my time taken...
Read moreMy husband and I have visited this area many times and found this inn to be a really nice spot to stay. We stayed in room 209 which is the second unit in from the intercoastal side and has a nice little back porch with a table and chairs and water views. Overall, a great experience and we would stay here again. For the price, the interior of the unit could be a little nicer, and why I didn't give it 5 stars.||||Pros: Intercoastal views from the unit, 5 min. walk to beach, newly updated and VERY well-kept outdoor spaces and heated pool, tropical landscape and decor, REALLY nice gas grills, complimentary beach gear, bikes, kayaks, etc., CLEAN room and linens, comfortable bed and bedding, good water pressure, removable/adjustable shower head, well-appointed full kitchen with all you need to cook/eat/clean up, easy keyless entry, self-check-in, central A/C that works well, very friendly and helpful staff. ||Cons: extremely slow draining shower drain (bath tub fills up with water quickly when you're showering), toilet seat needs replacing, furniture needs updating! Sagging not-so-comfy couch cushions, side table placed as a coffee table, bedside "tables" are two wicker storage towers and way too high to reach when you're laying in bed, no travel sized bath...
Read moreFive Palms was amazing. We stayed in room 102 from 8/29-9/3 Kristy was amazing. She came outside to greet us when we arrived for our early check in. The room was beautiful, it was very clean and the kitchen had all of the cooking utensils that we needed. This helped us a lot because we went grocery shopping to save money for our trip instead of eating out everyday. There is a full kitchen with electric stove. The bathroom was beautiful, the shower was my favorite part, the water got nice and hot so it was great after a day at the beach or the in the pool. The pool area has everything you need, an outside shower, chairs, any type of pool floats that you can want. We also had access to bikes, kayaks and any beach gear needed. The dock is lovely to sit on in the morning and take in the view of Bay Esplanade. It was a 8 minute walk to the beach and you can literally walk anywhere in Clearwater beach from here. The furthest we walked was about 28 minutes during the evening when it cooled down. Overall I would rate five palms a 10/10. I did meet two other people who worked there but i did not get their names. All of them were AMAZING. They made me feel right at home. Thank you staff...
