I donât typically leave reviews unless the experience was insanely great or insanely terrible. I went to Mi Pueblo in Clemmons last night with my two kids and my brother. It was the worst experience ever, which pains me to write because I used to love this place. I get that last night, 11/23/20, was their 31st anniversary and âeverythingâ was half off but that gives no excuse to the poor service we received and how the manager, Eduardo, did nothing about it. We waited 45 minutes to be seated and then watched FIVE booths after us get seated, get served, receive their food and some even paid! All the while, we were still waiting for our food, while my two young kids were losing their patience at this point. I went to the manager and let him know my displeasure and he disappeared into the back. Never to apologize or correct any mistakes. Upon receiving our bill, our food total was $46 and they took off $17. We ordered no alcohol. The signs everywhere said âHALF OFF EVERYTHING EXCLUDING ALCOHOLâ so, you would assume your non alcoholic beverages fall under that âeverythingâ category then- right!? Nope. She said $17 was half off. I went back and forth with her explaining that half of 46 is 23 and Iâm no math scholar. She wouldnât budge and said they have a button on their system that does the half off math.
To put the cherry on the topping, I was craving the fajitas and specifically ordered the lunch size one because they give you (used to give you) this awesome deep fried flour totilla bowl to go with it. They would put your lettuce salad in it. Tonight, they slumped and did not do such.
I will never return to this place again after that awful experience. I will continue giving my business to Palenque in Kernersville and spread the word. Not one apology from the manager or server, seriously? Mi Pueblo, put a more sincere...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Mi Pueblo Mexican Grill, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was vibrant and welcoming, perfectly capturing the essence of a traditional Mexican eatery. The décor was colorful and festive, making it an inviting place for both casual lunches and celebratory dinners.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the outstanding service provided by my server, Elias. From the moment I was seated, Elias made me feel like a valued guest. His warm and friendly demeanor set the tone for the evening. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring I was well-informed about the various dishes.
I started with the fresh guacamole, prepared tableside, which was a delightful touch. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the flavor was perfect. For my main course, I tried the sizzling fajitas and the enchiladas suizas. Both dishes were bursting with authentic flavors and generously portioned. The fajitas arrived at my table still sizzling, with an aroma that made my mouth water. The enchiladas were smothered in a rich, creamy sauce that was simply divine.
Elias checked in on me frequently, making sure I had everything I needed without being intrusive. His attentiveness and genuine care for my dining experience were evident throughout the meal. When it came time for dessert, he suggested the tres leches cake, which was the perfect ending to my meal â light, moist, and just the right amount of sweetness.
Overall, Mi Pueblo Mexican Grill exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of delicious food, vibrant atmosphere, and exceptional service from Elias made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and top-notch service. I'll definitely be...
Read moreMAY 26, 2023 UPDATE to the 1 star review from 3 months ago. I emailed them as they suggested and got no response. I called the district office, which is located next door to the restaurant and spoke to the district manager. I won't give her name because she seemed like a nice person, but she completely dropped the ball on correcting the situation. She read the review (shown below) and I explained that we had spent $35 on meals that were inedible. She apologized, and said she would have to get the ok from her boss, to give me a gift card for anything over $20. I expected her to call me, but a week later and no response. So, I called her office again and they said she was in a meeting, but assured me that she would call me back. That was 3 days ago, and no call back. I was hoping they'd try to make this right, but apparently they don't mind losing a regular customer.
THIS IS MY REVIEW FROM 3 MONTHS AGO: The restaurant was empty except for a very loud group seated at a table. Of all the places that they could have seated us, they put us at a booth right next to this boisterous group. The waiter seemed mad when we politely asked to move to a different booth. When we got our food, everything was horribly salty!! I can only guess, but I think that someone purposely oversalted our orders.
When I spoke to the manager, he stated that they hadn't had any other complaints about anything being too salty, and he assured us that his employees wouldn't purposely do that. No offer to replace our food and no apology. Everything was absolutely inedible! We paid for our uneaten meals and left.
We'll probably never go back there again. Too bad, because I love the enchiladas rancheras at the Statesville, Winston Salem and...
