We've been wanting to visit since they opened. Being near the water, with some drinks & island type food.. live music, the venue decor and overall vibe was right up our alley. We found out they had live music starting at 3pm, so we headed out.
When we arrived, the hostesses didn't greet us. It seemed like we interrupted their conversation. We were seated.. about 10mins later, we had waters brought over to us. We had figured out our drinks but she was coming back to order them. Another 10mins later, we were able to order drinks. They were out of kids cups - no biggie. We didn't order food till our drinks arrived.. it just seemed entirely dragged out before we received our drinks and finally got to order. At this rate, we had already been seated for quite some time.
I ordered a blueberry basil lemonade, on their in-house food menu. It wasn't a specialty or daily menu. They said it was now strawberry lemonade instead, I still ordered it. When it arrived to the table, it was not a bar made drink. I expected muddled fruit with fresh herbs added. That's what it used insinuated. It reminded me of a beverage poured from a two-liter bottle with vodka added. Something I would throw together quickly at home.
There weren't any plant based options, unless you modify something existing on the menu. They have a beyond burger substitute option.. but that doesn't really count. We ordered a kid's pepperoni flatbread, Caribbean flatbread and Cajun chicken sandwich. We enjoyed the flatbreads, the sandwich was okay but definitely didn't come across as "Cajun".
A couple was seated next to us and ended up leaving after receiving waters but no other service for some time. There was not that many tables when we arrived, maybe three including ours plus people sitting at the bar. Didn't seem very busy at all, it was a easy afternoon. Our server seemed bothered whenever she did visit our table, most of the employees didn't seem very happy overall. You could tell that they wouldn't help each other out. They didn't seem short staffed, but I couldn't tell. Our server and most others were socializing a majority of the time amongst themselves.
She didn't check on us while we ate, when she finally did.. we were sitting and already done eating for some time. I asked for boxes & the check, she only brought one and had to go back twice for two more.. I never saw a print out of our bill. She just showed up at the table with a handheld and told us the total. I paid for it, selected a print receipt. Once I handed it back, she said thanks & walked away........ nothing else. I thought she went to get my receipt print out. Nope. She was walking around again, we caught her attention and asked for the print out. She said okay but she has to go find it.. that's fine, I would just like to know what I paid for. She handed it to us and didn't say a word. We ended up leaving without anyone coming by to ask how things were, we walked out past the hostess without a word from them. I believe there were two managers walking around, they weren't involved either.
We chose to sit inside to somewhat avoid the heat but the bay doors were open, so we thought it would balance out. It never did, it got hotter and hotter. I didn’t notice any fans & with a quick trip to the restroom, we realized the AC wasn’t on, period. Just be aware if you’re not comfortable in the heat. My kiddo couldn’t sit any longer and became antsy.
I ended up getting sick shortly after we left, my body did not agree with the drink, food or combination of the two. I'm unsure what triggered me, it's been about two hours and my stomach is still gurgling. I would suggest to stick to the bottled beverages & appetizer or flatbread items if you do opt into visiting here.
We were left highly disappointed by the end of our visit. Our expectations were much higher for a Rum Runners. I only gave two stars because they are so new.. I hope management sees this as a learning experience to better the...

We waited 15 minutes for someone to even come over to us to take our order. We ordered 2 margaritas, 2 waters, coconut shrimp and the krabby patty sliders.
The first item we got was not even the waters or drinks it was the coconut shrimp which was supposed to come with a special pina colada sauce but they ended up giving us a very large cup of sour cream. Next after that was our other dish the krabby patty sliders which was supposed to come with tartar sauce but they didn’t give us anything. The food was so terrible, literally something you would buy frozen and heat up at home.
At this point we still didn’t have any drinks or napkins or silverware. Almost finished with our food and we finally got our margaritas which came in like a child size Dixie cup that was only like 2 sips because there was so much ice. We never got our waters and when our server finally came back to give us the check we asked her about the size of our drinks since we saw everyone else with different glass cups and she told us “yeah that’s what those drinks come in” so we asked to talk to the manager who was so rude and seemed like drunk or something… he was literally shaking and on edge when we asked about our $12 cocktails being served in a plastic Dixie cup. He refused to take it off the bill or offer another drink. He was very rude to us.
Will never...
Read moreMy family docked our boat and stopped here over the weekend. The absolute worst experience you could imagine. Took over a hour to even put our food order in. Watched multiple tables around us get the wrong food served to them. Finally almost 2 hours after arriving 2(!!!!) of our meals came out. There was 11 of us! 20 minutes later another 3 meals came out. Half hour later almost everything was out but the simplest item ever was of course not out. How hard was it to make pretzel sticks? On top of it all. About a hour into our horrible experience we get a new server. Young girl who didn’t even know what side of the restaurant we were in. After our order was finally put in and we had been waiting for over a hour. My wife has gone up to the bartender to see what is going on. Bartender runs immediately to that server and within seconds the server starts cracking up. Clearly just not caring at all about how we are being treated. We eventually got a manager out and they had to comp our whole meal and provided free drinks to try to make up for it. It wasn’t know where near good enough for the 3 hours wasted on what was supposed to be a beautiful boat day. Highly recommend never eating and wasting your time...
