This is an absolutely terrible venue. They generated millions of dollars for their city for one ‘highly publicized’ event of Billy Joel & Rod Stewart, Both of these artists have a fan base that is primarily older adults. They took advantage of thousands of people and had no shame in doing so. The seating chart was falsely represented in their advertising. The stage was only a center stage, it didn’t extend out to the sides. Yet, they sold hundreds of thousands of dollars in tickets to unsuspecting fans, who traveled and looked forward to this once in a. Lifetime event. The majority of those fans stared at stage equipment, unable to see the artists at all, even sitting in first and second rows. Ticketmaster breached their own contract that clearly states any obstruction are clearly indicated on the ticket. The event staff, especially the Box Office ‘supervisor’ blatantly lied to not have to do her job. I have made multiple calls to the venue for the show that I missed all of after flying from out-of-state, like many of us did, to try and get some help. The entire organization lies and covers up their actions, I have made at least 4 phone calls, simply asking for them to send the error to Ticketmaster which they should be doing. I willl never visit this city again. Someone needs to do an investigation on the inner-workings of this horrible stadium. They are terrible and exploited thousands to bring money in to pump it into their city, Citizens should be outrage. The performers should publicly speak out against them. There is nothing worse than a company/stadium that advertises being for their city/fans and is exploiting those who cannot afford it, especially older Americans. Here is the seating chart that illustrated the stage and the minimum $700 view of concert goers. I have been to well over 200 concerts my self, and have never in that time been told that I was buying a second row seat with a direct view of the stage and instead sold a ticket that not only has the stage more than.500 ft east, but had the entire view lighting and stage equipment with a fully blocked view. This is getting very common with Ticketmaster since they sell all tickets for every thing now and have no accountability for lying and stealing. Just be very clear that no other venue is going to laugh at the exploitation they were complicit In all the way to the bank. I spent 5 hours that night trying to get help since I couldn’t see the show any way. Then, contacted the venue directly 3 times, spoke with 3 separate people in management roles promising to follow up. There is no other venue I can think of that would exploit people this way. Those ‘in charge’ that night could not care less. The venue was filled with let down fans making requests for something comparable to what they paid for. It sensed they got joy from screwing people over. The least they could’ve done was submitted the error on the tickets to Ticketmaster so that people could get refunds or return the calls of those few of us who cannot afford to have money taken from us. This is the hardest time economically for many people, especially on a fixed income. Every single person that said they were going to get back to me lied. I don’t expect anything less from shady people who care about using your hard earned money for revenue, but know they can get away with it. Any business who acts this way through their response operates like this routinely. If I lived in this city, I would take it personally that a venue host location that enticed visitors to fund your city is getting away with sending the message to so many who visited that they care so little about people, they have no problem treating them this way. Yuck. Everyone who works at this stadium who gave their personal word that they would follow up should be ashamed...
Read moreMe and my family drove from Michigan to Summerslam this weekend and I just wanted to reach out and let someone know that it was the most unsafe, disorganized, unprofessional place I’ve ever been to I have been to shows all over and every venue has parking of some sort. When the traffic was crazy and I asked the staff what I should do and where I should park then they all stated that they “didn’t know” nobody seemed to know anything and were very unwilling to help. We did not know the area so we ended up parking and walking over a mile one way with our kids in the city of Cleveland at 12am and on the way in not really knowing where we were going!!! And no one was there to help us at all there was no staff coordinating anything even the cops had no idea what or where we should go!!!! Then once we got to the stadium I was told via email that there weren’t any purses of a certain size or any big bags or anything like that and I saw multiple people just walking through nobody was checking bags or anything that they were supposed to be doing!!!! I walked through the metal detector with my car keys on my neck and nothing happened nor did anyone take my phone and or keys and make an effort I don’t think the detectors were even working. There were people (staff) standing around with tubs to take and check stuff but no one was doing their job. That felt very unsafe to me considering there were almost 70,000 people in attendance that night, we also paid good money for our seats and missed part of the show because of the parking fiasco that I was not made aware of until we got there and it was too late to do anything but park somewhere and walk. I did receive emails about the venue but I was not told about any of this crap and how it would be handled you would think there would be some form of organization and communication but there was none. People came from different cities and states and everyone was saying the same thing nobody had any idea what was going on and it was a very unsafe situation for everyone involved!!!! I will never come back to this place ever again for anything or any reason the employees were all rude and none of them knew anything when asked NONE of them! And walking to our seats?!? Forget it!!! We had to walk up a ramp on an Incline rather than take an elevator or escalator cause we were told there wasn’t one and there was it turned out this stadium is so crazy and unsafe and I would NOT recommend it to anyone if you’re considering it DON’T GO!!! Totally...
Read moreWhat a chaotic floor seat experience for The Rolling Stones concert. It’s pretty clear that the Browns staff don’t do enough events to have good logistics (or maybe the owners just don’t care since they’re rolling in the $$$). No where in the Ticketmaster email did either Ticketmaster or the Browns inform ticket holders with floor seats about this requirement or a wristband for floor access. When passing through the first gate to go through security and have my ticket scan, this information was not relayed or readily available. Nor was any information conveyed about where one can access the floor. Started walking around (would LOVE the fire department to do a walkthrough as I can’t imagine the setup you have where masses of people just block sections is safe) and there were huge lines to access the area to go down the floor. Why? Because the Browns had made it a wristband requirement for entry and of course there’s a line since no information was relayed to ticket holders NOR was any staff familiar with the logistics for the events. I can’t tell you how many times I ran into contracted labor (Allied Security - and I have to believe it’s because Browns stadium doesn’t have the internal staff to address these issues so they outsource but don’t tell that staff anything) and they couldn’t provide any information. I kept getting referred to Portal or section 124 or something like that but no staff were in that area or anything resembling a wristband pickup. After spending an hour trying to figure out this mess and missing the opener, we were able to go down because the BROWNS HAD RUN OUT OF MF-ING WRISTBANDS.
Do better. Maybe this is why big artists haven’t been coming back for concerts at Browns stadium. Clearly the Browns don’t deserve to have billions of dollars for a new stadium or an upgrade if you can’t even effectively manage a concert.
This doesn’t even go into the mess of what my seats looked like and how ineffective security was at managing crowds ( peanuts all over our seats since someone had been sitting in our seats prior to arrival and sooooo many people who kept sitting in our chairs or using our chairs as a beverage holder. Entitled...
