If you've got a sweet tooth, The Sweet Spot will definitely hit the spot. The mochi donut trend is something you didn't know you needed in your life if you haven't had one before.
You'll probably be drawn in first by the highly Instagrammable wall seen through the storefront window. The scent of fried dough will greet you next, and a line of other salivating customers. On soft opening day, things were busy and there was a bit of a wait as the donut supply tried to keep up with donut demand. However, each little ring of dough still managed to look consistently eye-catching. And, while I had tunnel vision for the donuts, I actually had time to look through the rest of the menu which includes Croffles, Tiramisus, and other refreshing drinks.
The best deal is a box of 6 donuts, which saves you about $3. It seems like a lot for a donut, but I promise it's better than Dunkin'. My favorites were the Black Sesame and Strawberry donuts; I was a little disappointed that the Ube wasn't stronger. I was a little bummed that even though the menu listed several croffle topping options, only strawberry and chocolate/almond were actually available. Hopefully they expand the selection soon, because I’d love to try more next time!
The shop itself is super cute, but it was pretty warm inside—it felt like the AC wasn’t running, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sit and enjoy the treats.
Overall, the food was great and I’d still recommend checking it out if you’re in the area and want something...

She just smiled. Another lady walks out. I ask her what were some of the popular items and told her that this was my first time visiting. She responds with “um everything is good just choose something..” I felt like I was bothering them. I was also the only customer in the shop. I...
