Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Clinton

We waited almost an hour to get our meal. We were seated quickly and the waitress, Trisha G., was very nice and attended to us right away. She brought us our drinks and then we waited and waited and waited! It was valentines day but I did not notice a lot of people waiting to be seated. My beer was warm by the time our food arrived. I had the ribblett platter and wife had fiesta chicken. Mine was good but not hot...just warm enough to eat. For vday it was not too busy.

12/9/2023 Thought we would try Applebee's again since we hadn't been here in quite some time. We love the atmosphere and the waitress was very nice and prompt. It didn't take long to get our food. The food however, was not that great. I had a steak and shrimp combo. The broccoli was bland, the mashed potatoes were sticky, the shrimp was just ok. Now the steak....it took me forever to eat it. Every bite had grissle that had to be chewed to a pulp just so I could swallow it. Or I had cut it into tiny, tiny pieces. The only real good thing about my dinner was the draft beer. My wife had the Smothered Chicken. She didn't say much other than the sauce wasn't as creamy as it used to be. We used to love Applebee's. But the food this time left a lot...

I am so disappointed this run. I take my client here after every appointment, it’s become our little spot. Usually the service is A1 and food is delicious. The food was alright this time, service was absolutely terrible. Although our waitress was as sweet as pie, she didn’t come to us quick enough after being seated.and they weren’t all that busy. I seen her walking about aimlessly for 7 minutes before getting to us. Also, let me back up. My client uses a walker, we had someone holding the door, so we didn’t need help. But a man in a purple shirt who I’m assuming is the manager, came up and scolded the hostess for not holding the door, and he came to “hold the door” and just ended up being in our way. And lastly, I always get the combo appetizer as my meal (I like options) I had the waitress ask if I could sub my quesadilla portion for more boneless wings, I was willing to it extra no problem. My request was denied lol which isn’t the end of the world but I just don’t see the problem if I’m willing to pay? Whatever. I’m upset that this favorite place of ours is turning into another insufferable place. Hope that’s not...

I have to tell you, the service here is absolutely exceptional! And when you go out to dine and spend your Hard earned money you want good customer service and to feel your patronage is appreciated..Well you'll get that here. I mean, ANY issue we had the manager Jenna was there to the rescue like the Applebee's superhero..(Applebee'sWoman with a cape and a big A on her chest 😂). She was SO accommodating I felt guilty and wanted to sit her down and serve her. Our server Rhonda was very attentive and REALLY cared if we were satisfied or not and when something was not to our satisfaction, Rhonda was on it and even insisted to make our experience better. I can't help but give these folks on this night,a 5 star rating. Try'em out, you won't leave disappointed...Because they...
