Dream Donuts — Restaurant in Clovis

I live around the corner from this place. I've been going in there for a past couple years, buying a dozenof donuts when needed. Like most donut shops, they have a stamp card where if you get 10 stamps from buying 10 dozens, you get 1 free. I have 2 cards, with 2 stamps on one and 8 on the other, for 10 total.

Here's the problem, I went in earlier today to get a dozen. I gave them both cards and the lady stamped one. I told her that I had 2 cards and would like to have the free dozen. She said no, that I have to have one card full. I stood my ground for a moment and she said that thier is no combining cards, that that is printed on the card. At that point, I showed her both cards, front and back, with nothing printed on them and stating such a thing. She's in looked at the new cards that she had and made the comment that I must have old cards. At this point, I was frustrated and paid for the dozen, $18 for a dozen donuts. Inflations wonderful! As I was walking out, I got more and more angry about this. I went back up the counter and told them to keep their cards, which I give to them and said I will never come back here again. At that point, I walked out cussing and griping and I heard them cussing griping at me.

Problem I have with this, is that I have went in there at least 10 times, they didn't stick to what they offered and instead of saying they will honor it this time, and starting over with new card, they charged me for the dozen and cared less about a paying customer. I feel this was very rude and unprofessional to a returning, paying customer. Where is customer service and sticking to what you promote.

This is an average donut shop treats thier other customers better. I'll drive a little further now for a donut.

And one more thing, I’d like to take this opportunity to give THANKS TO THE GENEROUS LADY behind me who volunteered to pay the rest of my balance as I didn’t have exact cash or debit card with me when I went to the store. Was about to go back to the car to get more cash but she willingly helped me in paying instead. 😇 This is a wonderful story and proof that #kindness in #humanity still exist especially here in the #LandOfTheFree.

The donut holes were pretty good. The apple fritter I had was a bit hard but the flavor was good.

I was disappointed that they didn't have any coffee options other than the stereotypical 7Eleven instant hot chocolate/mocha machine. I opted for milk. They should do iced mocha, at least. Don't even need a blender. Just coffee, milk, chocolate and ice. Bam! You just made $5 on one drink. :)

They don't have a soda machine but do have canned and bottled drink options. OJ, milk (big and small options), Gatorade, etc.
