WOW, where do I start?
On Friday, July 6th I called Saito's to make a reservation for my mother's birthday. The hostess who "made my reservation" was upbeat and friendly. However once I begin to ask questions about the bill, seating, an outside cakes etc. He seemed to become a little annoyed. So I wrapped it short.
On Thursday, July 12th a had little gut feeling telling me to call back and confirm my reservation. This time a young girl answered. When I told her I was just calling to confirm my reservation for July 14th and provided her with my name, she advised me that no reservation had been made. I was a little upset, however being that the time slot was still available, I make another reservation.
Here we are the day of my mother's birthday. July 14th.......
Being that this was "suppose" to be a surprise, my vision was to have all the party guest seated(15), then come in with my mother, husband, Son, daughter and myself(5).
But my brother advised they were refusing to seat the party until everyone is present in front of the guest for a headcount.
So, my husband dropped us ladies to the front and went to look for parking.
At this point we have 18 people standing in the front lobby, blocking the entrance. So I ask can we be seated my husband and son are looking for parking and we don't want to hold anyone else up.
The young hostess-"no", I advised how the night is being ruined and wasted in the lobby and wanted to speak to the general manager she ignored my request and in doing so a young boy with blond hair jumped in and set expectations- "We will seat you all. we are just preparing the room"... (Great!)
So I see the young boy again walk by so I check back in with the young host at the desk. Her response again is everyone here. I said yes they are my son and husband are in the parking lot.
We are now back at square one. We cannot seat you. So frustrated I offer to pay up front for the missing people so we can be seated. She says she need to speak with the manager first. So I again I ask to speak to him.
Another older lady who was not the general manager came up and ask what was the issue and I explained to her. She advised we are just preparing the room.
About 10 minutes later they are ready to seat us.
Drink orders were taken and everyone was looking over the menu.
So the waiter who claims he's the "New" guy are discussing the bill" while an older oriental woman was standing off to the side with her arms crossed.
Next, minute the general manager shows up, Aggressively yelling, WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THE PARTY? (I raised my hand.)
ARE YOU READY? (We were all lost and confused.)
If not you all can get out I can't have you hold up my chiefs any longer
My mother was shocked and said I will not enjoy myself here with such mistreatment.
**Cash out and get out then and stormed off.
In the business of hospitality this is not the way to treat anyone.
From the start if your team didn't feel comfortable servicing us. Say it upfront.
While many wouldn't be able to recall days later every spice their tastebuds tasted after their meal, they would remember the interaction/experience they had.
Thanks to Red Rocks oasis and Grill's entire support group, they were able to change the entire mood.
They were quick on their feet to get us in
They were organized with the split bill,
The DJ was Amazing!!!!
The waiter OMG, Paige, and Megan, the hostess Shannon just their entire group were YOUNG, PATIENT, PROFESSIONAL, ENERGETIC, FUN, and HONEST.
Thank you soooooo much for making us comfortable while...
Read moreI went to Saitos this past Friday with my best friend, we came here after the wait for Texas Roadhouse was 45-55 minutes for two people. Reluctantly, we picked Saitos because I said “you can never go wrong with Saitos”. Boy was I wrong, we arrived and were told the wait for hibachi was 25 minutes. We already didn’t wanna wait any longer so we just agreed to eat on the side without the hibachi table, that was mistake number one. We were seated and the waiter came shortly and asked what we wanted to drink. We had just been seated so we needed more time, he circled around the restaurant and came right back. Since I felt like he was rushing, I said “I’ll just have a lychee martini” so he says “ok, two lychee martini” and walks away. My best friend and I just laughed and waited for the drinks, when they came out they weren’t good so we got the waitress’s attention and told her we didn’t want the drinks and wanted to replace them for something else. She said “We replace this one time for you but the next time we charge you” I replied “ that’s fine because the next one will be soda then.” I ended up ordering a cocomojo and my best friend got a hypnotini (these were MUCH better). The waiter came back and took our food order. I ordered a hibachi shrimp and chicken add bean sprouts and my best friend ordered a JB shrimp tempura roll with eel sauce. My food came out about 7 minutes later and my friend’s food came out about 5 minutes afterward. We both had ordered hibachi rice and a side of garlic butter. The hibachi rice came out and was SO bland, I might as well have gotten white rice. No garlic butter, no eel sauce were brought to the table. I had also ordered a Coke and after about 3 minutes I asked one of the bus boys to speak with a manager. The manager came right to the table and we told him about the service thus far and he went and got the garlic butter, eel sauce, and Coke. His name was Raymond, he was the best part of the whole night. When he left the table we finished our food and another waitress came to clear our plates. In the midst, my best friend who is a big connoisseur of watches asked to see the waitress’s watch, she said “what happened?”, he said “can I see your watch?” She said “oh, noooo”. In disbelief, we burst into laughter. At this point, it was time to pay so I asked for Raymond. I gave him our tip since he was the only one to tend to us all night. We left and I have to tell you, I come to Saitos all the time and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had since I’ve been coming here. Never eat on the side without...
Read moreSaturday January 13th me and my family went to this location after enjoying a pleasant and tasty Christmas Eve dinner at the Dania Pointe location. However never again, I ordered the teriyaki shrimp and a big was just happily galavanting in my food as he handed me the plate. I handed the waiter the plate back and pointed out the bug. The waiter took the plate back and returned with drink refills. Not once did ANYONE offer me a menu or ask if I would still like the meal. My daughter ordered a sushi roll and asked for spicy mayo. The waiter returned to the table 2 different time after taking my plate away yet not once was the bug in my plate addressed or a solution discussed. I flagged down a female waitress, when she approached my table she stated " the bug flew away once they got the plate in the kitchen it's crazy". Ten minutes passed and my family had already eaten most of their food while I sat with nothing but iced tea in front of me. I got the waiter's attention while he was at another table and asked if I could get an appetizer, when it came out it was the worst calamari I had ever had in my life, it literally crumbled when squeezed. I had one piece and it tasted like I was chewing cardboard, definitely was not fresh. When I tried to let someone know I was not satisfied with this appetizer the female waitress walked over and grabbed up the plate and set down the bill. When I reviewed the bill they put 18%gratuity on the check. When I inquired why It was added (we didn't do the hibachi) I was told they served me so they charge 18 % for everyone only I wasn't properly served or satisfied with the service or food. She not only spoke over me and cut me off she said it's not her problem I didn't like anything on their menu. I was never offered a menu to review after sending back a plate with a bug in it. No one came to the table to see that I did get service after I immediately handed him a plate back with a live bug in it. No customer service at all . Very rude waitstaff. No hospitality except the few young host/hostesses in the front who greeted us and...
