Tonight was meant to be a nice date night, however choosing this theater ruined that. Normally we go to Magnolia or Paragon theaters (right next to Coral Square Mall), however Silverspot was the only nearby theater still showing the movie we wanted to see. The seats don’t recline, unlike most other theaters have and they were having issues with the sound going completely off. We tried to persevere and just enjoy the night so we ordered some food. I ordered a quesadilla without chicken since I am vegetarian. Contrary to most beliefs I’m not a vegetarian by choice, as I am allergic to chicken. Our food comes out and I take a bite into my quesadilla just to immediately feel sick. We look inside the quesadilla and notice it has chicken in it. We spend an additional 5 minutes, missing the movie we so desperately wanted to see, trying to get assitance with the quesadilla. After we finally get help, they don’t send the quesadilla back out for another 30 minutes. When we open the container, we find half of a quesadilla thrown into the container without any of the toppings it first came with. We spend an additional 10 minutes trying to get help before I decide to just go to the counter. I explain the situation and wait an additional 8 minutes for the assistant manager, Raif, to come out and ignore me. After explaining the situation again to him, I am completely astounded as he responds, “well at least it was fixed” in a belittling tone. Upon my shocked demeanor, he continues on by adding “what’s the problem now”. I am absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service displayed by a “manager”. Raif then refused to allow me to watch, from the line, as they poured the toppings. After I get back to my seat and wait an additional 9 minutes, the toppings they bring me look absolutely abhorrent. The sour cream had an additional liquid in it that was a different color. The original sour cream I received looked completely normal. I personally don’t like to have to write a negative review, but the way I was left feeling tonight is sickening. I ended up getting extremely sick from the chicken and had to go home early instead of moving to the rest of our plans. I would never recommend this theater. The Paragon theaters in Coral Springs is only a few minutes away, has Lux booth seats that recline, they bring the food to you, and it’s only a fraction of the price. I would 100% recommend the Paragon theater in coral square over silverspot. Save your...
Read moreLet's start with the good part. Everyone was nice that is the only reason why I am giving it 2 stars. I definitely will not be going back. The parking was not good. We ended up parking on the side. It was by luck to get that one. It just the way the parking is set up. I do not mind parking far away. It just seems congested. I was surprised that the lobby was so small. It was very crowded. There was hardly any room. My husband and I went to a 9pm show. According to the website, it says show up 30 mins early if you want to eat. When you get there, the theatre was not ready so we had to wait in the lobby. It was crowded. There was hardly any seats. The seats we did find were dirty. We had to find a napkin to wipe them down. Usually when we went to the movies early, we were able to sit in our seats in the theatre. When were finally able to go into the theatre, those seats were dirty too. I had to go to the restroom to get paper towels to wipe them down also. I was like "what did they do." The amount of we pay you would think at least sanitizing would be a priority. The seats may be comfortable on your bum, but not on your neck. Since the seats do not recline, it was killer on my neck. We watched John Wick 4 so we were in there for a while. The aisles are narrow so when they are passing out food to people during the movie there is hardly room for them to maneuver. The movie screen in theatre 4 had a line in it, at the top. At first I thought it was a star falling in the movie, but it was not. It was a little distracting. If you are ordering food, expect to wait 45-60m to get your food after the actual movie starts. The bathroom door are like bedroom doors so you have to knock on the doors to see if anyone in there. The bathroom was clean though. As you can see, I will not be going back. I am not sure how they got 4.5 stars. I guess everyone has...
Read moreLocated at the Promenade in Coconut Creek, this movie theater has a lot going for it. Location is one since you can eat there, but if eating in the dark isn't your thing (more on that later), there are plenty of restaurants all in walking distance nearby for a quick or long bite before or after your movie. The place looks to be well kept overall for the age of the theater. There is a bar when you walk in, a little seating area and concessions. However all these items can be ordered and delivered to your seats. Tray tables at your seat are nice to have but some are a little hard to move to get in and out. The seats are big and cushy but sadly don't recline.
Both times I’ve been we’ve had large groups and tickets can be difficult with groups greater than 10 (most you can order online in one order). One time one of the groups had issues with their tickets that thankfully they were able to rectify at the box office. The other time it was like playing ticket Tetris to get all the seats we needed together in multiple orders.
Waitstaff is friendly and food delivery times can vary depending on how busy the theater is. If you like your snacks right when the movie starts, arrive early and get from the concession stand.
The old fashioned was strong and on point. Getting loaded nachos to eat in the dark, I'd probably advise against. Besides messy, it’s hard to ensure you're evenly eating your nachos and toppings. The chocolate cake was tasty but also a bit hard to eat in the dark as evidenced by the frosting I found in multiple places on my arm at the end of the movie. Popcorn was great the first time I went but most recently, it wasn’t quite as fresh.
Overall l'd come back to this theater and probably try the happy...
