I recently visited Crust Pizza in College Station with my fiancé on a Friday night, and unfortunately, our first experience left a lot to be desired. We ordered two medium pizzas, cheesy bread, and a drink, which came to about $33. After sitting down, I noticed a promotional flyer on the table advertising a deal for three large pizzas and a drink for just a few dollars more. Naturally, I went back to the counter to see if we could switch to the promotion.
The cashier called the manager over, and instead of handling the situation politely, the manager rudely told me to “read the fine print” because the promotion didn’t start for a few more days. The tone and dismissiveness felt completely unnecessary.

Read moreMet with a group of fellow musicians on a Monday night as a celebration of a successful season. The employees were very accommodating in putting tables together for us. We ordered at the cashier and got our own drinks. Some people ordered appetizers for everyone to share. The pizza rolls, filled with pepperoni and mozzarella, were huge! The garlic knots (warm garlic bread twisted into knots and baked) were great to pull apart and share with dipping sauces. I ordered a create-your-own pizza of beef and Canadian Bacon. I love Canadian Bacan and most of the fast food chains don't carry it anymore so it was a welcome treat. Crust isn't a fast food restaurant but the service definitely was speedy. The crust was thin but not soggy or dry. The toppings were tasty. Another friend ordered the potato pizza which she described as baked potato soup on a pizza. I wound up with no leftovers. I should have ordered the larger pizza if I wanted to bring food home! A base pizza starts at nine dollars. I added two toppings and bought ice tea. With tax, tip. AND a donation to the Texas Hill Country Kerr County Flood Relief, I still paid less than $20. It was...
