Catering order disaster. My catering order arrived late, and the driver notified me that she’d be late around 5 minutes before the end of the 30minute window. I did not give her a hard time, even though I’m sure she noticed when she arrived that there was a crowd of people waiting of the food as she didn’t end up coming until 5 minutes after the end of the 30-minute delivery window. She was not pleasant during that interaction. I then noticed that 10/25 of our sandwiches, which were supposed to be vegetarian, were not. Meaning there was no food for vegetarian people eating from this catering order. I immediately called her, and she was extremely rude on the phone, asking if I actually needed the vegetarian meals and going as far as to say that if she brought me the 10 vegetarian sandwiches, she was going to have to remove 10 meat sandwiches from my sandwich tray. She then notified me that she wouldn’t even be able to get to it for 30 minutes. I’m not sure if she understands the concept of being vegetarian, but people who do not eat meat did not have a sandwich to eat because of this mix up. I then find out that whoever took my order the day before, did not indicate that there were supposed to be vegetarian meals with the order, despite me explicitly clarifying twice with her that we needed vegetarian options. The driver said that she was going to figure it out and then hung up. Then I get a call from a manager who indicates to me that they don’t even have the breading that is required for the vegetarian wraps, which again, is fine, but she not once apologized for what was happening and the unprofessionalism that her driver, and now her, were exhibiting. I got a second call and finally spoke with someone who did not sound like they were upset who re-took my payment as it somehow got lost in the shuffle. Finally I got the vegetarian meals (45 minutes after the 30-min delivery window). After the event, I called and asked to speak with a manager and again got ahold of the second person who had called me, Kayla (who was polite and reasonable) and she apologized on behalf of the store. This was a pretty horrible experience overall, 2 stars instead of one because the vegetarian meals did eventually come and...
Read moreJason's Deli in College Station, TX has AWFUL customer service and definitely would not recommend . We always spend $50 + there and bring them so much business. However, whenever we call to place our orders, the girls answering are ALWAYS RUDE. Today, we ordered from there and they got our order wrong. They said we were the "only deliveries for lunch time" which I find that EXTREMELY hard to believe. If we were the only delivery, then 1. Why was our food LATE, 2. Why was our food COLD, 3. Why were our tea and coke HOT and missing ice and 4. Why was our order missing items? So okay, I could look past hot sweet tea, I can also look past the coldness of the food. But when I called because they gave us cheesecake instead of Strawberry Shortcake they were VERY RUDE. The girls (which I spoke to about 4 different ones) would not let me talk and kept giving attitude. When I asked why we weren't given what we paid for they said "We called and ask if you would like the cheesecake instead since we are out of Strawberry Short and you said yes that was fine." That was what 1 employee said. I said "No I received no call or missed call from Jason's Deli." I was then put on hold and then came 1 or 2 more girls that I spoke with - wouldn't let me explain and then put on hold and then came this other girl... who was extremely rude to me. I said "no one called to let us know anything." She said "oh because we talked to someone at your company and they said they would relay the message. It was so and so number" I proceeded to tell them "No, I never received a phone call and that is my personal cell phone number. No one else would have picked up." "Well I don't know what to tell you ma'am but your company said cheesecake was okay. You aren't getting a refund." I said "we spent about $60 there and your telling me I can't get a credit or refund for something we didn't agree too?" She proceeded to laugh at me and said "A credit IS BASICALLY A REFUND" and then said "Is there anything else?" I just hung up. NEVER AGAIN WILL I ORDER OR HAVE THE PPL I KNOW ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. They are ALWAYS RUDE and need training in...
Read moreCustomer service at the order pick-up wasn't the greatest, especially for how much money was spent...
I was picking up an order for a company and I had a pick-up window of 11:00-11:30. I walked in around 11:10 and they were busy so the manager who was running the take-out and pick up section told me that they would be right with me. Sure, that's fine, they're busy filling orders so I stand a little off the register. A gentleman walks in after me and the cashier moves to the register and asked him if she could help him before me. I was a little upset about that but she probably didn't know I wasn't helped yet. About 15 minutes has elapsed after I had been helped and another gentlemen walks in with a take-out order. About 5 minutes passed and the same manager apologized to him about the wait, explaining that it would be about 10 more minutes for him and offered him a drink while he waited. He declined and she said to me that they were just waiting on the pasta to finish the order I was picking up. That actually pissed me off because I had been waiting for 20 minutes now and the same customer service was not extended to me. They finally finish the order and I'm out the door at 11:40.
I didn't give them a one star because I was not a customer, I just picked up an order. However, I'm glad I wasn't authorized to tip and it wasn't my money spent. The company I picked up the order for had a large order, so it wasn't cheap. If it was my money, I would have been pretty ticked off. I did inform the company that placed the order so perhaps that and this review will lead to better customer service practices for the deli...
