Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in College Station

Been coming for 10 years I think. Last year or so has steadily gotten so bad. The blue hair girl with a dog collar is always rude AF and everyone else usually is as well. It’s like they hired everyone with the idea of who can serve people the most rude. The donuts are no longer fluffy and warm but cold and old and very similar to Walmart. However I do believe they pulled the worst obese just because I asked her “sorry could you repeat that” after thinking I heard the wrong order back because she talks so quiet and disinterested. This establishment is making all the wrong moves with employees and ruining the loyal customer base they created. With all the big chain donut stores coming to town that’s a dangerous game I would think but apparently not. This is coming from a business owner so I know how easy this...

I am reeling. I have never had bad shipleys before today. I was having a bad day too, and this was just the icing on the cake. It was a quick wait in the drive through which was nice, and I ordered 3 glazed donuts. It was about 11:20 am, so I was completely expecting to get a nice fresh warm doughnut, but ALAS, I was handed three soggy cold hard donuts. The glaze was wet and drippy, the bread was hard and not soft. This is the first time I have had a shiplyes donut that wasn't soft flaky and warm. I understand if you leave donuts sitting out they aren't fresh anymore, but come on guys. Put them under a heat lamp or something, anything would be better than what yall gave...

The first thing you wish for when you get here is that they would be open 24 hours each day. It is hard not to overdo it here. Terrific, fresh donuts with a lot of variety to choose from. They offer some of the best kolache with sausage to be found, they are huge too. One would make a breakfast meal, but who can eat only one? The donuts also can be a challenge to any diet, two is the minimum, even more difficult if you get filled donuts. There is always the Aggie special or the kolache special.
