The best dining experience I've had in a very long time. 10 out of 10. My wife and I visited Ohana's Korean Grill today and have just reached home with happy, full bellies. The location is clean and calm. We entered the restaurant just as they opened for the day. We were greeted and seated by the sweetest woman we've ever met. I think I might have been adopted today. She was polite, prompt, pleasant and offered information on several menu items. Our drink order was served with a house bottomless appetizer of diakon, jellies, sesame sauce, and their house kimchi, which has to be the best kimchi I've ever had. We ordered an appetizer of tempura, served hot, freshly fried and tender. The love of my life ordered ribs and I chose the bibimbap with bulgolgi. After a short time, two more tables walked in and the hostess slash waitress sweetly greeted them. We quickly realized the hostess recognized both groups, seating them with pleasant conversations. Our food arrived soon after, steaming hot. My bibimbap sizzling in the stoneware bowl. The smell was overwhelming as we dug in. The wife made short work of her ribs, using the scissors to cut the gently sliced meat on bone into bite size pieces to enjoy with the radish and kimchi. The ribs were soft and flavorful. My mouth is watering a bit just thinking about them. I stirred in the fried egg, mixing the bean sprouts, carrot and bulgolgi beef into the simmering rice and liberally applied goju jang. The bowl kept my food hot through the course of our dinner. Every bite was a freshly cooked experience. The bibimbap was full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I am not ashamed to say it. We failed to finish or meals. The portions were large and sprawling, though we gave our best effort. The waitress was nearly intuitive, getting drink refills and even knowing when we had our fill, offering to box our remaining items to go. I have bibimbap sitting on my counter, waiting for my hunger to return. Don't tell the wife, but her ribs are free...
Read moreMy wife and I recently visited Ohana Korean Grill for the second time, and once again, it was a fantastic experience. We love exploring new places together and enjoying authentic cuisine, and this restaurant has quickly become a favorite of ours. The food here is authentic Korean cuisine, and it's absolutely delicious. The setting is comfortable and relaxed, a bit old but always clean, which adds to the charm.
The standout feature of this restaurant is the amazing female owner. She is incredibly kind and always goes above and beyond to ensure we have the best experience. Every time we finish our meal, she or the young gentleman employee treats us to complimentary cinnamon tea, which is a lovely touch. When we want to take leftovers home, she personally packs the food for us in to-go boxes, ensuring everything is neatly done. Her attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction truly sets this place apart.
They always make sure we are satisfied with our meal, and their service is consistently top-notch. Another notable aspect is the cleanliness of the restaurant, especially the bathroom. The toilet is always spotless, and there's hand sanitizer available, which is very convenient.
We'll definitely be returning to this place in the future. Even though we drive an hour and a half to get here, it's absolutely worth it because of the wonderful food, large portion sizes, and the exceptional service provided by the owner.
As a couple who loves finding hidden gems and savoring delicious food, Ohana Korean Grill holds a special place in our hearts. We can't wait for...
Read moreVery delicious! Generous and good-hearted staff too! We had a young man server who would check in on us. Also, he would fluently say/correct the korean dishes after us butchering the name as a kind gesture. When my sister ordered soondaeguk, the lady who brought out our food taught my sister which sauce/toppings to put in, the amount of sauce/toppings norm ally (she fed my sister a spoonful to taste it and asks if you want to adjust it by adding more spiciness, salted shrimp, or grounded seeds), and how to eat it. I loved the honey citrus tea, vegetable pancake, side dishes, the kalguksoo (fairly big bowl!), and seafood stir fried sautéed udon! The lady gave our group of three share bowls too! After the meal, we were given korean cinnamon ginger tea in a small dish. I really loved it! So tasty and refreshing~! There's one thing ought to be taken into consideration though. They were quite busy with having no table left for people arriving on Sat at 12:30pm, which I would suggest people to go early and savor the food but be sensible (chosen in accordance with wisdom or prudence; likely to be of benefit.) if possible. Also, raise your hand or stand in place, make eye contact, raise your card, or other means you can think of after eating for the bill. They will notice. When there's a chance, I would love to come...
