The food was exceptional, truly, and for a party of four the portions were just right. We had the kurkuri bhindi(my personal favorite), aloo tikki chaat (which was pretty different from others I've had soupy here), chicken saag (also exceptional, and a grilled chicken breast with rice and chutney. All dishes were flavorful and good, the chaat was just not what I've had before, more soup than potato patty dressed with sauce.
There was a small wait, which was expected, since we arrived at 12:45 on a weekend. A considerate party that was occupying two booths consolidated into one so we could be seated sooner. We were seated prior to our entire party arriving which I appreciated and we immediately ordered two items since we had been seated before the party was complete. This is about where our experience declined from a service perspective. The booth we were occupying was a larger booth. We were asked to move to a very small table to allow a five person party to be seated. We walked to the offered alternative table and due to size declined to move. From that point on our service was less than desirable. The offered table was later used as a two top and since we were ordering/eating family style there's no way we would have had room. Maybe a service falter due to recent opening? Maybe cultural? I dunno but i loathe being asked to move once seated and food ordered.
Will I go back? Absolutely! The food was delicious, but I'll lower my...
Read moreDisappointing at best and will not return - I was surprised with the service I received based on the overwhelming positive reviews of this restaurant. My colleague and I went for the lunch buffet which is advertised till 4pm at 2pm on a weekday. The buffet selection was smaller than expected, but the food was good. They had always had food that ran out at the buffet, and they were slow to refill these items. I was there for maybe an hour and half and during that time, They ran out of rice, naan, chai tea, and other dishes. There was another group that was Indian there. I was grateful that they complained, and they began to replace restock the food. We'd been out of water for awhile and our server came by only after we asked for more water ourselves. I had no idea where the bowls were for the soup either. The restaurant did not seem to have a lot of people there so it didn't seem like they would be overwhelmed. By the time the food was restocked, it'd be low again because people had been waiting on that dish, and they would not restock with much. The price was about the same for Taz for a lunch buffet. Taz is superior in their service, selection of food, and ability to stay restocked. Go to...
Read moreThe food was flavorful and fresh. We had the buffet. I am usually suspect of food on a buffet. But, I sampled it all. The chicken biryani was made from all white meat chicken. Usually when you have it on a buffet it’s made from thighs to ensure the meat is moist but it is also a lot cheaper on the restauranteur. So I appreciate the best quality even if it was a bit dry. The lamb was AMAZING! Hands down a 🌟. The butter chicken was also made from all white meat and a little on the dry side. The naan was fresh and the lentil soup was excellent. The clientele was mostly Indian or from that part of the world so I am guessing the food was authentic. It wasn’t spicy enough for me but too spicy for my wife so I am not sure what to tell you. The place smelled delicious when we walked in and the flavors exploded at each bite. Each dish tasted distinctly so it wasn’t just a bunch of the same stuff called something different. I didn’t try the dessert, but my wife said it was really good and had two helpings. The price was...
