I had the best salmon sashimi I've ever had in my life today at Aji Sushi. We decided to try Aji Sushi since we were nearby, and we saw that they had a gluten-free menu. It's a small restaurant that might be easy to miss if you're driving by, but I'm glad we found it online and decided to visit. Their gluten-free menu had much to offer. There are so many choices! And they have gluten-free soy sauce. Their gluten-free Philadelphia roll was one of the best I've ever had. My daughter and my boyfriend ordered regular menu items and said they were excellent, too. All the portion sizes were generous. Their prices are great, and they have happy hour from 10 am to 11 pm on weekdays. The three of us (adults) ate until full, and we spent just over $80. The restaurant was clean, didn't smell like fish, and had a relaxing atmosphere. The music was interesting. We heard a mix of classic rock (not loud) that included Judas Priest, Poison, AC/DC, and Guns N Roses, all music I remember from when I was a teenager. The service was excellent. The bathroom was clean (the ladies' room light was very dim when first turned on, but after a moment, it got much brighter). We absolutely love Aji Sushi, and we hope we can visit again soon. Update, visited again a month later: My family wanted to take me out for a birthday lunch, and I chose Aji Sushi. Twelve of us showed up without any warning on a saturday afternoon, and Aji Sushi was able to quickly and comfortably accommodate us. They arranged tables so we could sit together. The service was excellent. The food was wonderful and portions very generous. All twelve of us ate until very full for just over $300 (and several people took home leftovers). Thanks, Aji Sushi, for making it a great day! ♡

They have really good nights and really bad nights. My recent visit was really bad. I ordered bulgogi, Korean barbeque beef. The beef had been boiled in the maranade instead of barbequed. When I pointed out to the supervisor that the beef had been stewed, and lacked any grill or sear marks, I got a snotty lecture about authentic Korean cooking and that I didn't know about real Korean culture. The salad was only iceberg lettuce and a light bit of dressing, and the side sushi roll had also been soaked in the bulgogi beef marinade (?) For an appetizer I asked if the chef could prepare a thiny cut usuzukuri sashimi plate, and requested that that the chef select the best fish for the cut. This is a traditional thin cut fish presentation made with a solid fish meat, such as flounder, it is just an ounce or two of fish cut into very thin slices and usually presented with ponzu. The chef's idea of paper thin solid muscle fish was to cut finger thick chunks of toro, fatty tuna, which falls apart when cut thinly. Obviously no real sushi chef present and kitchen staff were doing the minim to get unpalatable food on tables, with wait staff and management failing to act as quality control. Look at that gooey stewed beef lettuce only salad.

This place is lovely! I had such a great time. This little restaurant is doing really good at many things. Customer service was excellent. Christian was our server (kudos to him). Ordered a Bento box 🍱 it included: chicken teriyaki, edamame, salad, miso soup, California crab, and gyoza. 🥟 We also ordered California and a shrimp tempura roll. Really good! The ambiance of the restaurant is very chill and kinda stepping into dim and relax. Lots of cute Japanese decor all around. Also, the prices were very reasonable. I cannot wait to be back. Note to management: please consider revising the chicken you use in your bento box. It is not good quality. I would suggest trying a non-process, non-frozen chicken. I understand this might fit your pricing/ROI; However, less is more. Consider preparing your own chicken and if it means less quantity in the bento box, it will be fine with customers, given that their few pieces of chicken are tasty and fresh. This is a piece of advice (take it or leave it) but I just wanted to be as honest and transparent with my feedback. You are clearly doing many other things really good, let’s step into greatness. I hope nothing but the best!

Horrible sushi. We are huge foodies and review almost every place we eat and this place is horrible. I regret every cent of those 40 dollars we spent in high hopes that it would be good. I trusted everyone’s reviews and it was a HUGE disappointment. We have been searching for a good restaurant in college station because we moved here a month ago and have been SOOO disappointed with the quality and taste of food. Everything is so bland and flavorless. The only edible roll was the Texas Avenue roll. One of the rolls we got had just a huge pile of different chopped up fish on the top and was just a mess to eat. Very bland and flavorless unless drowned in soy sauce. The peices of sushi are HUGE.. to big to fit in one bite. Sushi is supposed to be a delicate and flavorful dish. Also the hostess was super rushed even though there was no one there and it was over staffed. She did not even bother to ask how we were and threw the menus on our table and ran off before we were even close to the table and went back to the front of the restaurant. Non of the waitstaff smiled or tried to make conversation which for a restaurant is super important! Especially since by comparison, every other restaurant we have been to here has been SUPER kind and amazing. Anyway... might be good to some people....
