In the modern fast-casual landscape, efficiency is a currency and convenience is a promise. It was with this expectation that I placed a mobile order at Chipotle, allowing a generous 15-minute grace period beyond my scheduled pickup time, a courtesy intended to ensure a seamless, in-and-out transaction. What I found upon arrival, however, was not a restaurant, but a purgatory—a tableau of operational dysfunction where the only thing fast was the decline of my patience. The scene was set for failure. A drive-thru line, seemingly frozen in amber, contained two vehicles that hadn't moved an inch since my arrival. Inside, the chaos was palpable. The digital promise of a pre-prepped meal was a cruel fiction. I stood idly by, witnessing a procession of walk-in customers receive their food and depart, while my own order remained in a state of suspended animation. The staff, preoccupied with the more immediate demands of the in-person queue, seemed to view the mobile order screen as a suggestion rather than a command. The final insult came in the form of a request to wait another 10 minutes for my food—an additional quarter of an hour tacked onto a wait that had already surpassed the point of absurdity. I was not alone in this shared misery. Eight other patrons, each a victim of the same digital illusion, stood silent and stoic, their collective exasperation a testament to the colossal failure of this system.Chipotle's mobile ordering is not a service; it is a lesson in misplaced faith. It is a system that punishes forethought and rewards impulsive patronage. The experience was a masterclass in how to squander customer goodwill and erode brand trust. Save yourself the time, the frustration, and the digital disappointment. This is a culinary experience I can only describe as a masterclass in mismanagement.Final...
Read moreSpoiler - If anyone is reading this reveiw, this is frustration and I'm venting and I have all the time in the world coz this line hasn't freaking moved in an hour!!!!!!!!!!!
Scheduled for pickup at 6.30pm - it's 7pm and I'm still in the line waiting for my turn to pick up my food which is apparently ready - why the heck am I supposed to wait if my freaking food is ready??!! Because these people lock their doors shut and wouldn't bother answering anyone who's at the door. Oh and as a bonus, if you try doing that, you'll miss your spot in the line and have to wait another hour to get your food which is now all cold and soggy!
I had an encounter with a rude employee here once and decided for my peace that is only do online orders and just pick it up and even that sucks here now.
And as a side note, why can't there be one proper functioning and properly managed chipotle in Memphis??!!! All the branches either have rude employees or horrible management in terms of service, availability of items - literally any time.
It's like I have to move to a different state to avoid this horrible service and incompetent people (most of them in my experience - if I ever had good service and food on a rare occasion, I'd literally be shocked) working for all these chipotle branches in Memphis.
Fine - someone will contact me with free entrees and when I go to use them, I'll be treated like the employee at the register is paying for my food and I have to deal with their attitude.
Here's to yet another dinner and evening ruined - thanks to this chipotle!

Read moreI love Chipotle and have been to every chipotle in this area. Chipotle is one of my favorite places to eat. However, this location (Collierville) is by far the worse. I live 20 minutes away and have now driven 20 minutes twice (when the app/website) has shown that the restaurant is open and operating, along with the signs on the door showing the time they are opened, and the doors have been locked and employees are literally looking at me. The driveway was still and wasn't moving at all.
For Chipotle, I wouldn't expect this. I have reached out several times to the Chipotle corporate office to no avail. I would NOT recommend going here. Twice now when I actually have been inside when it's "open", they have been out of guac, cheese, etc. They also talk amongst themselves while serving you, only to have you repeat 3 times what you want. They are laughing and talking with other employees while serving you instead of paying attention to what they are doing. They have also been out of multiple drinks, sweet tea, etc. when I've been there. Not a good look for a place that is so new. I don't anticipate the Collierville chipotle being around much longer if things don't shape up. I don't know why they are letting employees stand around if they don't want to open the doors. At that point, just send them home: they aren't doing their job.
I also ordered DoorDash and had a similar experience as some of the others on here. The lobby was closed even though the hours showed it was opened, the drive-thru took 45 minutes and there were only 3 cars in front according to the dasher. This is completely and utterly...
