I have been going to this bar for several years and mostly for Sunday night karaoke because the bartender is awesome and super nice. Lately, I've only gone a handful of times since I now work early on Monday mornings. This Christmas Eve, my husband and I decided to go to karaoke along with my brother. We got there at 9pm and our plan was to stay until closing to sing and drink because we didn't have to work in the morning and had extra cash from Christmas cards but our plans were quickly halted. After ordering my first and only Not Your Father's Rootbeer, out of no where a man from across the bar started video recording the three of us while exclaiming, "Look at these kids. All three of them came together and they're playing on their phones. I'm going to send this to my kids." He said a few other things but when I noticed the red light on his phone, I realized he was in fact recording or at least taking pictures of us. I asked him nicely if he was video recording us, he said yes, I asked him (again nicely) to remove it because he did not have my permission and he said no and suggested I sue him. I decided to let it go because he was obviously drunk and I didn't want it to ruin my night, but then the guy started yelling at us (again out of no where) and this time my brother said something but the guy wouldn't stop. My brother stepped outside and the guy followed but came back in after a couple of minutes. My brother walked back in several minutes later and headed to the bathroom and the guy tried to talk to him but my brother said "Don't talk to me" and kept walking. The bartender came over to me and said the guy was accusing my brother of throwing a beer bottle at him outside. My brother bought a pitcher, not a bottle, and he only drinks a certain brand of beer so I knew if I went out to look, the bottle would not be my brother's...and I was right. When my brother came back from the bathroom, and I told him what I was told, he said he was in his car when he went outside and the guy pulled the beer bottle out of the garbage and threw it on the ground before coming back in. The bartender attempted to help in this situation but the guy wouldn't let her see his phone to see if there were photos or videos, and he kept saying how he was a regular, best friends of the owner, what was she going to do about it call the cops...it was so uncomfortable and painfully obvious that he has done this before. The bartender was trying to help but he was clearly exercising some right of entitlement at this bar and it was a bit irritating that he wasn't asked to leave just because of who he was. At the end of the day, my husband and I left at about 11pm and with a ton of cash in our pockets that we spent somewhere else. I did tip the bartender because I know she tried but she was caught in the crossfire (it seemed as if this guy could get her fired which would not be fair or legal). I ended up capturing a picture of him, see attached photo, because I know for a fact he did the same to me and I want people to be aware of this man. I will delete it once he confirms he has no photos of me or anyone in my family. He violated my rights and treated me like scum when I was polite from the get-go, and he had no right to jump into our business while yelling at us when we never said anything to him. It honestly sickens me that this man felt that he was better than the rest of us just because he is the owner's best friend and that kind of an attitude is what drives paying customers away. I know my husband and I will not be going back any time soon since it was made clear that anyone who is best friend's of the owner can harass, intimidate and accuse random patrons...
Read moreLady that worked at night on Tuesday November 15th was extremely rude and unprofessional towards my girlfriend. We have gone to this bar plenty of times before. My girlfriend forgot her license when we showed up so we ran back home to grab it. When we got back the female bartender said the license was expired, in which my girlfriend pointed out that it didn't expire for another year. Then after that the bartender proceeded to show my girlfriends license to a customer asking if the picture on the driver's license looked like my girlfriend. She denied that it was my girlfriends driver's license and asked us to leave. I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to show another customer some ones driver's license as it has personal information. In my past experiences whenever i have witnessed someone present a false ID they have never received it back. She was blatantly disrespectful, rude, and beyond unprofessional. Will never return here again. As for the bartender you...
Read moreI went in search of a lively venue and found it here with a eclectic mix of young and old, white, black and brown, nostalgic and new-fangled all rolled into a busy, friendly little out-of-the-way bar. Double entendre obviously was intended when the owner named this hotspot. An unusually large number of Excellent MEN singers populated the place! Perhaps, a few duets are in my future. Fun place, casual dress, low prices, friendly, attentive staff. Well worth a few bucks for the live entertainment and feeling...
