What is going on with customer service these days? Or human decency in general? I could never give my business here, because the owner’s (namely someone named Nida), have bad attitudes and no respect.
Furthermore, she was so terribly nasty to her employees that the shock of it STILL makes me lose my appetite to this day. Such petty and unprofessional behavior should not be tolerated anywhere least of all in the workplace. Granted, we all have something to say about a bad boss, that’s for sure, but for the sake of making face said people usually keep this under tabs for fear of HR involvement, needless to say, I was genuinely thrown back by the openness of the owner’s disdain for their “subordinates”, and how overt the couple are about their feelings regarding others— which is pretty much nonexistent. And frankly, I’m done with people like this, hence the review.
Abusing your position over the people who LITERALLY help you keep your business running and belittling them unashamedly is downright unprofessional and appalling. Doing it IN FRONT of others (customers) as if employees are property or slaves, and they should just “agree with your resentment” as if it’s basic gossip, is disgusting and deplorable. Some customers may laugh that off and/or tolerate that, because they don’t care, but I certainly do. And I can’t be a bystander for that sort of violence.
I just wanted a smoothie, what I didn’t want is to hear someone (Nida) screaming bloody well murder and then trash talking an employee who needed to leave “15 minutes early” (FIFTEEN!! Can you imagine?!), because construction hit a gas line at their kids school and needed to emergency evacuate so they kind of had to be there (this was a well known incident in the area too, so I don’t even understand why it was insinuated that this was a made up situation). I just couldn’t believe it. Prioritizing yourself and profit over compassion and understanding makes you one vile human being. Sorry, but that’s the truth of it.
Yelling at employees for wearing gloves while they manage food too?! Are you serious?! So now we also fail to prioritize sanitary conditions? This was simply mind boggling. Maintaining a clean environment (especially in the food industry) is paramount.
I don’t doubt that these people habitually mistreat others, it was too brazen to be a one time occurrence, I guarantee it. So if service is lacking or you find something gross in your food, look no further than the owners who ostracize the people behind the counter. Your money is better spent elsewhere than lining the pockets of individuals such as these.
It is in this reviewer’s opinion that if you do not understand or appreciate the customer service business, don’t do it! If you don’t like people, don’t be in the business of people. Period...
Read moreAs I normally do, I placed my order through the app with ample time to be made. When I got there it was a little busy with at least 3 people waiting for their smoothie so I patiently waited for mine.
Only for what I assumed to be the manager to come up to me after seeing me waiting by the mobile pick up for more than 8 minutes asking if I was waiting on a drink. It was then that she realized they failed to even start my order until 5+ minutes after my drink was supposed to be ready for pick up. Not a single “I’m sorry for your wait.” Or “thanks for your patience” etc. The only thing I got was “the recipe didn’t print.”
Then, once the drink was finally made the staff member simply put the drink on the counter and walked away.
Another observation I saw was it was clear the staff didn’t have adequate training on how to make the smoothies, adding to the wait time of the 3+ people waiting on smoothies. Read moreUPDATED REVIEW: My coworker ordered a smoothie bowl and found a long black hair in it, and her hair is short and red. Today I ordered my smoothie and got about a quarter of the way finished with it when I sucked up a FINGER NAIL! I come here very often and same with my coworkers and service has been fine, but seems like they have some serious cleanliness practices to work on. Maybe gloves/hair nets would help?
UPDATE: It’s been 1 week since I requested a refund for my smoothie, still haven’t received anything. submitted 2 forms on their “contact us” page and still haven’t heard anything back. super upset this is how they go about business and making their customers happy. maybe i would’ve considered coming back if they issued me a refund and assured me they would do better with their cleaning practices, but after this i definitely won’t be returning. which is pretty sad as i was a regular customer and i work in the same strip of stores as this location so it was perfect for me. i guess ill be driving to vitality bowls for smoothies...
