I found ROCKS in my food! I have ordered from this place a hundred times and never had anything like this happen! I ordered stir fry with tamarind sauce and brown rice. Last night I ordered and ate half the meal and then ate the leftovers today after work. I didn’t notice anything last night, probably because the rocks were sitting at the bottom.... Well, I was chewing and bit down on something really, really hard. It almost broke my tooth!!!! At first, I thought it was a hard piece of rice that didn’t cook all the way. But when I spit it out, it was a small pink pebble. I dug around in my food and found two more rocks!!!! The rocks are pink and they look like something you would use in a planter for bamboo or something. I don’t know if something happened in the kitchen where the plant fell and rocks got into the food, Im not sure! Call Thai Basil and the lady could only give me a credit for the meal when I order again . I told her “no! I’m never ordering again from here!” All she could say was “ oh sorry.” That is pathetic! I’m definitely not ordering from this place again! That is dangerous and...
Read moreI should start that we have no idea what real Thai food should be, but like to think we have a good idea what the American versions of Thai food are like, we get it in just about any city we live in or visit. Can't speak to service, as we did take out. The Pad Thai was very different than we've had, and overly sweet. The only way to describe it was like orange chicken sauce mixed with pineapple or something? We couldn't even eat it. The panang curry seemed to be like milky soup with some veggies in it, quite disappointing, hard to tell it was poured over the white rice even. Drunken noodles were not terrible, but the noodles were definitely on the small side, heavy on noodles and short on veggies. Springs rolls were a similar story, seem to be stuffed almost wholly with noodles and very little of anything else. The chicken satay was the most ok of what we got, mild in flavor, but that's fine at least in this case. I think the best thing of all was the peanut sauce. Perhaps their other Asian dishes are fine, but to have "Thai" in the name, this was...
Read moreFirst thing first, I am half Thai and my mother is full Thai. So I grew up on Thai food and love it. I've been to many Thai places, some good some not. This falls into the catagory of worst one ever! For starters the food was extremely bland. I couldn't even finish half of my plate. The choices on the menu were extremely limited and when i asked for a specific Thai dish, the server had no idea what it even was! And it was a fairly common Thai dish... Next was the decor. I understand most people not being able to tell one Asian culture from another...but the place was decorated in Chinese, the paintings were of Chinese people, the words were Chinese words. I'm sorry but if you're going to have a Thai resturant, decorate it as such. You don't see Mexican places decorated with Japanese stuff... I understand that they think people wouldn't notice, being ignorant Americans and all, but still... I would not recommend this...
