It's only 8 minutes from the South Gate of the Air Force Academy. That's the main reason I picked this hotel. If you stay in this part there's a lot of hotel choices. Make sure when you put direction you may wanna pick the South Gate and not the North Gate. It's closed to a lot of restaurants, grocery store, and gas stations. Hope this helps. Just Comment if you have any questions about the area. #hotelroom #academy #helpdesk #question #travel # appointment #tiktok #yelp #vip

Good value and hard to beat for the price. Would stay again. The lobby is quite nice with sunken area with a center fireplace (gas) along with couches and chairs that provide a lot of seating for socializing. I don't believe the area would be wheel chair accessible but forgot to check. There is an indoor pool. Off the pool is a small game room with Foush ball and ping pong. Access to the game room was down stairs off the pool area and would not be accessible by a wheel chair and could be an issue for someone that has mobility issues with stairs. The Falcon restaurant is open in the evenings and while it doesn't have a large selection on the menu there is a reasonable amount of choices. The salad bar is a bit limited as it doesn't have meats or eggs. The pork chops were good with a large portion size. The breakfast is excellent. They have omelets to order as well as prepared scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and french toast along with the normal cereals, waffles and such. Much better than the typical continental breakfast that most hotels in this price range provide. The wheel chair accessible dual queen bedroom is reasonably sized with plenty of room in the bathroom. The shower is a roll in shower and provides a hand wand shower head that can be mounted high enough for a 6'+ person with out having to duck or on a sliding rail for a lower heights to be accessible when using the shower chair. The room did have a bulb in the bathroom out and the toilet clogged once. Reporting the issues to the front desk had both issues repaired in less that 30 minutes. May have been less but we had gone out for a bit and the problems were fixed by the time we returned. The beds were a bit on the firm side. Some may find them a bit firm but I prefer firm to being too soft. Each bed had 4 pillows, 2 were firm foam type and 2 were softer. There was a good size flat screen TV in the room with Direct TV included. The heater is the individual in the wall style. It is a bit noisy with a reading of 82db/A at about 10ft using a Android phone app. For a light sleeper it can wake you up when it comes on. I don't know if the fan can just be set on so only the heat cycles but the noise level would be more consistent. If you are a light sleeper you may want to see if you can set it to leave the fan on all the time.

Here we go, you ready?

Regarding the room: Pros: There were two queen beds, the toilet flushed and the TV worked. Cons: -The extra bed in the suite was not even a bed, the only reason my child could partially sleep on it is because he is small. Very misleading. -This extra 'bed' was so uncomfortable and he complained about his back hurting. -They never replaced the shampoo conditioner and soap at all.

The worst things though.. the lighting. It is so dark. Impossible to put your make up on, it was like being in a cave with a lamp. Why aren't hotels making actual lighting proper by now? -the Ac unit kicked on and off all night, terribly annoying. -These rooms don't have a window. The window is of the inside of the building. How bizarre. It felt like a prison.

And topping the list.. No Fan in the bathroom. It baffles me that there is no fan in the bathroom in some hotels it makes me sick. Would YOU want to stay somewhere like in a family suite that we had where the smells linger, you can hear every sound coming from the bathroom and there's nothing to unfog the mirrors?

Because of this.. Everyone in our family had to go do #2 in an alternate bathroom in the hotel.

Coincidentally the PUBLIC BATHROOMS WERE CLOSED.

This made for only ONE TOILET in the entire building for everyone to use if they were in a public area and that was the TOILET IN THE GYM.

So

We would take turns, leaving time in between so as not to smell the other person's shit.

And let me tell you.. we know that we weren't the only people doing this.

Every time one of us had to go # 2 we'd go to the gym bathroom but there'd be someone who had just gone there or was going to go in right after us. ITS EMBARASSING. And disgusting. You know how I know? The toilet seat was always warm. It always smelled like someone had just WENT.

How about you just ADD FANS IN THE BATHROOMS.

outside of the room.. Pro: -Kids liked the pool and game area -staff was nice -family enjoyed the breakfast especially the omelets

Con: -there is absolutely no need for these breakfast hostess' or whatever you would call them. Over The Top Annoying and Overbearing and then makes you feel guilty so you have to tip them? They have no purpose they just pissed us off when we got our own food and were trying to eat with our family and these old women with high pitched voices kept trying to ask us if we need anything or if they can get us anything NO THE ANSWER IS ALWAYS NO.

We will never come back to this hotel for the simple reason that these women were useless and unbearably bothersome.

Please for the love of God get rid of these people its not necessary its a burden, NOT a help in Any Way, and you know this is true.

My one thing I would say to the owners of this place - Would you stay here? If you haven't already done so, just stay a single night and you tell me if anything I have...

Really amazing hotel, especially for the price. The lobby is beautiful, with big vaulted ceilings, and a fireplace with seating. Very friendly check in desk.

The Free breakfast is better than most diners and restaurants!!! Someone is there making omelets to your liking with all the toppings, fresh waffles, muffins, cereal, a hot buffet with ham, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and amazing breakfast potatoes with cheese. The coffee and juice bar had a lot of options.

The sports bar and restaurant also had great food for dinner.

The indoor pool is gated in the lobby and cute for families.

Not all towers have elevators. The upgraded rooms do have an elevator.

I found it very quiet. My in laws in the next room said they heard road noise from the 4th floor of the T building, but I personally slept amazing and didn't hear anything. They have really good mattresses and a selection of down or non down firmer pillows, 4 on each bed. The roll down curtains are blackout and did a good job. We all got amazing sleep.

Bathrooms were clean and nice. They had modern sinks. The shower head came off to a hand held and was well maintained (no spraying in random directions from hard water)

Complaints: not many

  1. There's no active vent fan in the bathroom and the Passive one doesn't work well. When we walked in we couldn't see out of the large window because of condensation and water running down the window. After showering the next morning we realized it's because all the shower steam has nowhere to go. The paint was peeling in the bathrooms from water condensation damage. They just need to fix the central vent system with a more powerful fan. Or retrofit powered external vents on the bathrooms. This was the only reason for docking one star on the room rating. On the upside, it's like having a humidifier in the room :)

  2. They had a keurig in each room for coffee on a separate wet bar, but it wasn't really a wet bar because there was no sink. It would be nice to have a second sink or move the sink outside the bathroom so others could use the sink if someone is in the rest room. When I put water in a cup to fill the keurig, there were black specs in the water from the tap, so it might need a new clean...
