You are better off sticking with a brand that is consist in their standards and service. There are many in the area. I booked Olympia Inn for August 4-5th while in town doing some hiking with my dog. On a whim I booked with Olympia Inn through Expedia due to their affordability, pet friendliness and price. Upon arrival I noticed the property was undergoing renovation as it had just recently been taken over by an independent hotelier. Nice to see them putting work in the property despite the temporary inconvenience of some of the amenities not being available for use. The visit started to go downhill as I checked in. Once confirming my reservation, the desk agent was setting me up for check in. When she asked if I had any pets with me I replied I did have my dog. The owner of the business was sitting next to the desk and asked how big my dog is. She is about 45lbs. To that he let me know I would be unable to stay with my pet. I pleaded with the man as my dog is well behaved and would not leave a mess. As this is going on another guest comes in with a yellow lab, larger than my dog and is greeted warmly and familiarly by the owner. He initially told me I would have to put an extra $100 plus $25 for the pet fee that was not mentioned anywhere. After some further discussion and promise to not have the dog in the bed, he agreed to $50 deposit and $25 pet fee. At this point I was just glad to have a bed to rest my head in. Upon arrival to the room, I noticed the bolt on the door was missing for the privacy lock, the toilet seat was a bit stained and so was the shower curtain. The vent in the bathroom had a thick lining of mold covering visible from the shower. I was so tired though and just went through with it. After leaving, I had mixed feelings about leaving a review considering I have been in the hospitality business for a decade. The kicker was when I called back today, August 24, almost 3 weeks later to ask why my deposit was not returned, they said they could not find my paperwork. Such a disappointing experience. If you’re traveling with pets I highly recommend you stay at the La Quinta across the parking lot to ensure consistent service and room quality.

I look forward to hotel typical breakfast. I’m not picky but this was not it, might as well stay at the Econo Lodge. I would of saved $20 bucks a night and had a way better breakfast 😭 Also they don’t offer a complementary extra hour stay. They do t give a shiii about customers. Only the lady receptionist was nice the man got annoyed having to clean up our breakfast table too. Like excuse me I don’t work here, you do!

Also might want to know the swimming pool was shut down by the health dept and there is a lot of black mold all throughout the building! All the pictures they have here are way outdated and it’s even worse now days!……New management or not doesn’t change the fact the building should be condemned from all the black mold that requires HAZMAT cleaning rather than the new management just covering it up

When we first arrived in colorado springs, our accommodation turned out to be a scam bnb. We arrived late on the 4th of July, so knew finding a new accommodation for the 5th-12th would be a challenge, and likely pricey. On booking.com, the Olympia had a special running that dropped the price to less than half what other places were asking, and they had the space we needed for us and three kids.

The rooms are clean, showers are functional and free of mold or stains, AC works (although they are definitely in need of some tlc), and the beds are clean and relatively comfortable. There is a fridge and microwave in the room, no coffee machine, but there are two downstairs. One in the lobby that's always on, and one in the kitchen for breakfast.

The (free) breakfast is fine. Toast, yogurt, cold cereal, oatmeal packets, store bought pastries, and yes, cup ramen. It gets the job done, especially for a locally owned hotel offering free food. The coffee was always hot and ready.

All in all, I've stayed in worse places. The people who run the place were kind, and even remembered us enough to ask about our trips sightseeing. If all you need to be happy is a hot shower, clean beds, and decent coffee, you could do much worse than...

ABSOLUTE TRASH. I booked this “hotel” through Expedia, and when I got there I was immediately interrogated about my trip like it’s any of their business. I get to the room and it smells HORRIBLE. Not having a choice, I slept there one night and left immediately the next day, when I had originally booked 8 days. I had to find another hotel because I couldn’t handle the smell. I contacted the hotel and Expedia about this the same day. No apology, no reply even. No refund for any nights I didn’t use. Expedia reached out to them to try to make this right and they told Expedia I left the room dirty when I never even used the bathroom. I laid there trying to sleep but couldn’t even fall asleep because of the smell and left immediately in the morning. So on top of being absolutely disgusting, they have ZERO desire to make it right and have kept $800 they didn’t earn in the slightest....
