Literally awful. Our first red flag on check-in should've been when the front desk employee was laughing and talking with us during check-in and the manager, Michael Porter, said to him, "let's check them in instead of talk". The lobby was clean so we had high hopes, then we went to our room, room 118 and it was gross. Carpet was dingy and the room stunk. We went out for a little bit and came back and we were eating dinner when I saw a bug crawl fast into the nightstand. It was a roach. Photo attached. We immediately went down to the front desk and they switched us to the 3rd floor. I asked the female front desk worker when the last time was that someone complained about roaches. She said, "a week or 2 ago from the same area." We moved up to the 3rd floor, room 305 and slept there for the night. The room was still gross upon walking in. Then the next day we got back to the hotel and there was a roach on the side of the window. We started packing and then I looked to see if it was still there, and there was ANOTHER one. It was massive. We went down to the front desk where I showed pictures and asked for a refund for both nights since the night before we didn't go to sleep until 2am after moving rooms and doing all our laundry. The front desk worker called Michael Porter and he said he would refund us $60. I said I wanted a refund for both nights. She handed her phone to me with Michael on the other line and he said, "you need to leave the property right now and never come back. The cops are on the way and I'm pressing trespassing charges." I said, "for what? Nobody asked us to leave, and you're wanting us to leave because you have roaches and I want a refund?" He just repeated the same thing again and hung up the call in the middle of it. I went outside and called the Colorado Springs police department and they said Michael did not actually call. They told us that since Michael wasn't letting us go into our room to get our stuff that we could press charges against him for theft. So, we went up to the room to get our stuff. The female worker came up to our room and knocked on our door and said, "he said you need to leave." I said, "no we don’t. The police department said that until the refund hits my account, this room is mine." While the worker was there talking to us with the door open I told her to look at the bed, there was a roach sitting in the middle of our bed. She acknowledged that she saw it. She then said, "he said you can stay and for us to just leave you alone." I was very confused how he went from pressing charges for "trespassing" to just leaving us alone. The female worker said she would give us a new room. Not sure why we tried, but we checked out the 3rd room (315) and upon walking in, we immediately found 3 roaches and multiple bed bugs. We left the property after that and Michael said he would refund us 1 night. The police department advised us to call the health department immediately and Wyndham's corporate to report everything. I feel terrible for the female employee. The manager, Michael was very immature and hid behind the phone like a child. Yelling, hanging up, etc. He made her deal with all this instead of coming to the property himself. I made sure to take pictures of all the roaches and bed bugs. I also have every conversation with Michael recorded. Do not stay here. It was absolutely horrible. Not to mention, you see women going room to room and staying in each room for about 10 minutes and coming out missing clothing. We saw a few drug deals. Lots of people actually doing drugs (not Marijuanna). And it looks like the cleaning crew just shoves everything...

I don't even know where to start honestly, from checking in to getting settled in to the room the entire experience has been awful on top of no cancelations, no refunds Yada yada. They don't have elevator access for a third floor booking, they don't have the pool accessible which was our primary reason for booking here with a 2yo traveling 1,000 miles - pools are invaluable to running their energy down between stays. If we could've canceled, we would've. Then on top of that they wanted to tell us we had to pay a $100 deposit which is probably more than the cost of the night stay when we booked with Affirm which specifically states no deposit no fees when setting up the installment plan. Apparently the staff had to call their GM at midnight on a Saturday to get permission not to charge a deposit they had no business charging. They said the room was on the first floor, it isn't. I don't see any handicap accessibility so good luck to anybody who needs that you will be going up stairs OR a very sketchy curb with a door that is very heavy and difficult to keep open when bringing in a trolley. All of this followed up by the unclean and ratty hotel room we got switched to which is smaller than the one we booked and pay for and who knows what other compromises we wouldn't know about. The first thing I noticed was the tub with a towel carefully draped over several burns along the edge of the tub, what looks like a deteriorating tub finish with possible mold underneath the paint, the microwave sits lopsided in it's cove which may be the power cord under the feet but regardless, I almost yanked the whole thing off the shelf just trying to open it because it's not seated properly on the shelf. When opening it, the glass plate slid out towards me, why? Because the track it sits on doesn't fit the microwave and so the glass plate and track are literally just floating in space in there. Walking further in I notice all of the corners and walls are scraped up, the carpets are torn up, the sheets have stains and burns? the curtains have stains and look like they've recently been yanked down or yanked shut or were just never fixed to begin with I don't know but they don't look right. The night light next to the sink turns on and off when you touch the outlet it is mounted with, I can only imagine what kind of hazard that is. As I write this I looked up and noticed some red something or other on the wall next to the TV, gross, I don't know what else I've missed here but all in all, this is definitely not a 3 star hotel which already isn't a good rating. I should've stuck to the Academy hotel next door, we're always satisfied when we go there despite the pompous staff and ridiculous pricing.

Editing to add: there is no wifi, the network doesn't come up. It's like the cherry on top, honestly. Oh, and before I forget, the trolley is falling apart! I don't even know what's going wrong with it, it's just coming off at all the joints. All of them. How we got it in to the room I honestly am not sure. We had to lift it up off the ground to get it over the curb of the parking lot to begin with and that was horrifying too.

After reading other reviews, we'll be passing on the "breakfast" and hitting the road early. Not sure how this place is...

Mistreatment towards a person with a disability and Trafficked survivor

2/2 Continued By Emily Milne Now that I write this statement to let the owner and others know that I was unhappy, disappointed, frustrated and felt discriminated against. It made me very angry that I was told to come back to the hotel at noon to report this mistreatment the next day (09/02/23). Bethany was at the desk by herself and told me no manager was there present and that Anna (a manager) “lied” to me. From perspective Anna was very nice and had to be my favorite staff member. She made me want to stay again. Bethany told me countless lies, that the owner will not be at the hotel until 12 AM today (09/02/23). Anna told me the auditing people were coming today (09/02/23). I didn’t see them present, and Bethany told me they weren’t there either. Yesterday (09/01/23) had had checked out around 7:15 AM and had come back to talk to staff about the mistreatment. Later that day I was already exhausted and had the nerve to speak about the mistreatment and Bethany was present at the desk with another employee. (09/01/23) As I got closer to the desk she was taking pictures and later lied to me (09/02/23) when I actually heard her phone making the camera sounds. To make this clear I’m also a human trafficking survivor and cannot have my pictures everywhere or taken because I don’t know where they go. It’s a safety concern once more. She claimed she never gave me dirty looks which I know she did the whole visit. Anna saw her make faces at me and didn’t understand why she was doing that or why she was treating me poorly. After taking pictures I waited for a few minutes and then asked if Anna was there. Bethany said, “I don’t know”. The woman sitting next to her was busy and I didn’t want to bother her while she was helping someone else. Then I asked her the same question if Anna was there. And she said yes. And I stood there longer, and Bethany continued to ignore me. Then the other employee asked did you call Anna. Of course, she didn’t. She knew why. I turned my cheek the whole 4 nights I stayed. Personally, I have 9 plus years in customer service. This is not right. As disheartening as this is I was told yesterday (09/01/23) to come back at noon (09/02/23) to speak with the owner and I was turned away by Bethany. She was “alone”. So, I had to pay approximately $80 plus dollars to just drive back and forth to resolve this issue and no one helped me. Gas is very expensive, and the compute is very exhausting. This weekend is a holiday weekend, and it interrupted my plans with my family. I will not recommend this stay. I will tell others through word of mouth not to come to the hotel if this in not resolved. I want a full refund and compensation for my wasted gas. And hope that people will read my review because it will be very informative for...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. HOTEL IS CLOSED. Made a reservation a month in advance, showed up day of the reservation to a paper sign on the door saying "hotel closed," chains on the door, several individuals camping in the parking lot, and police responding to a violent altercation. At no point did they bother to make contact regarding the closure, have not responded to any calls or emails, and have handled this situation in about the worst way possible. I would strongly encourage anyone reading this to avoid this hotel chain entirely if this how they handle their business. Avoiding this specific hotel shouldn't be an issue since it is closed and looks like it probably should have been months ago, but I have not been able to find any information regarding the closure online. If the outside of the hotel is any indication then this closure was a blessing. I cannot properly review the rooms since, as stated, the doors were literally chained shut, but what was visible was an absolute travesty of cleanliness and good repair. Absolutely abysmal experience with Baymont by Wyndham. I will be avoiding anything with their name on it for all time and recommending similar avoidance to family, friends, colleagues, coworkers, acquaintances, delivery drivers, retail workers, and really just literally any single person I meet for whom I have even the slightest, tiniest, atomically microscopic level of respect and/or empathy. This hotel review doesn't merit stars as much as it does brown paper bags filled with what my dog left in the yard. If that were the scale then I would rate this hotel with enough to fill a country-sized landfill. And not a small country either, one of the medium sized ones. Roughly Argentina or Greenland sized. This hotel deserves a rating of however many brown paper bags of dog leavings it would take to cover the land surface of Argentina or Greenland. Edit: And a response from management literally a year later? Just a tad late there. That's almost more insulting than being actually closed after accepting my reservation.
