Our story begins Sunday, January 9th, 2022. My daughter and her then fiancé chose the date and made all the arrangements for the ceremony and reception after choosing The Loft as the venue. As with the large majority of other "typical" weddings, the invitations were sent, guests confirmed, bridal party selected, caterers chosen and the photographer lined up for "the big day". A number of people were expected to arrive from out of state. That Friday our daughter, the bride, became very ill and tested positive for Covid the next day!
Needless to say, we were all sent scrambling to adapt to such an atrocity. Upon learning the news, I immediately reached out to Ariana who was the wedding coordinator to inform her that we could no longer follow through with the original plan on that date. She was very understanding and offered to postpone the event until another yet-to-be-determined date. She was very kind and compassionate about it which certainly eased some of the stress of the moment.
Fast forward to a year later. Thankfully this time everybody was healthy and the ceremony/reception took place as planned for a fabulously beautiful experience! Ariana was very helpful on the big day and worked very well with us. She was very calm and easy to work with, accommodating the bride's requests amiably. I am sure it helped that there weren't many or complicated requests, and the bride was extremely pleasant through it all, but Ariana's attitude was greatly appreciated nevertheless. The venue itself has a cozy but open feel to it. The upstairs area was very nice, giving extra room. We didn't have a lot of people but we certainly didn't feel crowded. And The Collective was a cool additional area to host the "cocktail hour".
In summary, I would highly recommend The Loft if you are planning a wedding in the Colorado Springs area. Thank you again Ariana for helping to facilitate a wonderfully...
Read moreWe had such a great experience with The Loft for our wedding. Of course having a wedding during covid was stressful but the team at the loft really did a great job. Zabby (i think that is her name) was the one who helped us pick out all the decor and small details such as lighting. Everything as far as decor and decorating came out perfect! The staff was more helpful than I ever expected and I am forever grateful for each and every staff member for helping us throughout the day including fixing my dress and one of my shoes! They provided us with such a cute donut and cake display as well. The photo booth was an absolute hit and it was so much fun looking at all the pictures the next day. Our photographer Jonathan was absolutely incredible, he was so fun to work with and the pictures came out perfect! Seriously every last little detail was amazing. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars unfortunately, is we were not 100% satisfied with the DJ. They didn’t really play the type of music I specifically requested, and they played music that I requested them NOT to play. They didn’t really interact with the audience or feed off of the audiences energy. It was a really unfortunately disappointing experience with the DJ, but otherwise I highly...
Read moreThe Loft has a great, quaint Old Colorado City vibe. Nice venue. Giving it only 3 stars for two reasons: the Loft staff that hosted the event was a drawback. She kept meeting with other people during our set up time instead of providing the things that were promised. She rolled her eyes at my friend and had an arguement with my friend that just seemed selfish and childish. Eventually we had to help her bring chairs from another venue and were late getting to the event. She did NOT give the impression of being there to serve, that she wanted the event to be successful or for people to like the Loft. The second thing was that the kitchen and set up area had a lot of other people's things on the tables and counters. There was very little room for us to prepare our food and transition from appetizers to main course. It was confusing and messy before we even started bringing in our things. Other than those things it was a perfect place for a...
