Placed a large order online for a timely pickup to avoid the Sunday morning rush. When I get there the order isn’t ready! 10 minutes later I get a lame excuse from the manager that it wasn’t her fault because the order didn’t come through and “ding them”. We placed it the day before!! I asked if there was something she could do she said no. Took my number so the regional manager could call. No call yet. Will update if so. The worse part is they charged $7 more per dozen donuts when you order online. I watched 4 in person customers get service faster than me only to pay a substantially more. The order finally came and when I got home discovered it was incorrect and we were short a donut! The poor customer service from the manager was insult to injury. Will not be giving more business to Lamar’s unless they show they actually care about customer service. UPDATE: Received a call from management and an apology. They made things right and took the time to understand me. I get that you can't always get things right, but you can always do your best to make things right and LaMar's Donuts did...
Read moreWill never go back to this location again. My 10 year old son took in donut coupons to use from good grades at school. He was scoffed at by the manager for having so many and questioned if he really got that many good grades. When I mentioned my kids had earned them, he said we are only allowed to use one coupon at a time. Fine, but what's the difference between using 2 today vs 1 today and 1 tomorrow?!? That was not my sticking point. What really disturbed me was that this grown man thought it appropriate to question my son's credibility and, instead of leaning on the concept of honoring his achievements, continued to talk poorly about me to another customer at the register. The manager told me I looked surprised. Yes, I couldn't believe the lack of people skills and customer service skills of someone easily in their 50s or 60s. What an embarrassing example of leadership for my young son to witness. Stay away...
Read moreWhat reputable donut shop in a busy area of the suburbs 'doesn't have enough donuts' on a Wednesday morning at 7:15 am? This one. No explanation whatsoever, just turned away our DoorDash driver stating 'they aren't doing carry outs due to a lack of donuts.' LOL, isn't the majority of your business doing carry out at the moment? Slightly confused here. What's worse- losing a customer who has purchased donuts from your establishment since 2008? Or being out of Donuts in the middle of the week, at peak morning hours..? You, like many other businesses are fighting for the right to stay open, and struggling for business as it is with the pandemic. Issues like this shouldn't happen during such a dire and uncertain time for fast casual dining/QSR, so it sounds to me like you as business owners just stopped caring? PLEASE, correct me...
