Harpo's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Columbia Township

My cousin and I entered Harpo’s after a party of 5 and also a party of 7 exited the door. Upon us entering the guy mentioned they didn’t have room for a party of 2, which kinda confused us because we witnessed about 3 open booths as we scanned through the bar! As he held the line up, expecting us to just say “ok and leave” we chose to ask another worker if he knew about the empty booths that we seen were open, he quickly assured us they were open and we could be seated. While the other guy looking at him confused. Well we finally sit down, order drinks and ate our food, afterwards went to the roof top for a quick smoke break. (Which they came looking for us on the rooftop) asking did we want to close out our tab, we told them no, were coming back to our table we just needed a quick smoke break. 15 minutes go by, we go back to our table than finished our water, paid our tab than we leave. As walking out the door, I hear the same guy who hesitated to let us enter, tell his other coworker, “hey go make sure they paid”. I took it upon my self to say yes we did pay! He looked at me and said “oh good” not a thank you, I apologize, or anything to that nature. That was my first time at Harpos and I’ve never felt So uncomfortable and singled out. I observed everyone and everything last night and I feel like the guy at the front was over doing his job when it came to us. After taking in everything I spoke with a manager and really he didn’t make me feel any better about telling him our situation, everything got swept under the rug! The Wings is GREAT. I had one shot and two beers over one hour time. The place is packed with the youth. Had a exciting little time here meet a few ladys close to my age and had some good conversations it a little loud and you will have to get close to talk or you will be like the rest yelling. The bad side is if you run a tab here be warned the many bars in here run the tab off the master bar..So I was asked for my card on the last beer and when I woke up next day my account was maxed out over $200.00 this is a Saterday night ordeal and Sunday follows What a bad place to lay down a tab..called shazam and there was so so many hits from this bar on my card it was unbelieveable I had to go with out use of my account for 24hrs tell Monday..to be continued.. long story short buyer beware this place is going broke when the collage is on break...This is when you should be very careful just use cash and take what u can afford. Maybe it all a mistake somehow and it be ok...but its Sunday still and I want know tell the morn how many open disputes I wind up with Clearly would be in the grave dead if I bought all they said I did....Hope it only happens to me...This is a dame good place what a...

my friends and i came in for their $2 tuesday special. first off, we sat down and never got waited on. we went up to the bar to get our own drinks and had to walk up to a waitress to put in a food order. our bill was $2, and no tip was added since we did not get served at our table. about 20 minutes later, the waitress brings out our food in togo boxes and tells us that the bouncer needs to check our id's. she walks away quickly and the bouncer informs us that we needed to leave. we asked why and he told us it was because we didn't tip the waitress. with two full drinks wasted and our togo food, we left. i'm very disappointed with the customer service and hostility in this establishment. why should i tip when i was never waited on? if i fully paid my bill and gave them business, why am i being kicked out? will never give another dollar to harpo's. if you don't want to get kicked out, make sure to tip. they make it an option but in reality you don't...
