My daughter and I met here for a breakfast meeting and to try it out since it was somewhat new. Both of us were greeted upon entering. I was early and was offered to sit at a table to wait for my daughter. Having worked in a restaurant when I was a teenager, I asked if I could just sit in a chair near the entrance so as to not take up valuable table space. The yes was instantaneous as was the offer of a menu to look at. I had the JoJo's special and she had a skillet meal. Both were delicious. And came out quickly. My eggs were perfectly cooked, the biscuit had a crusty outside and fluffy inside. The sausage gravy was probably the best I have ever had. I don't know what they use for a seasoning mix, but I usually add pepper and salt to my food, except for this time. I felt that adding any other seasoning would ruin the taste. Avery, our server, kept my tea glass full and my daughter said she very much enjoyed the coffee and being brought the normal cream and sugar. Avery was terrific and very personable and was excited about working at JoJo's. A gentleman stopped by to ask how our meal was. To me he appeared to be the owner. A very nice personal touch. My daughter, being pregnant, wasn't able to finish all of her meal and a box was quickly brought out. We also made a to go order towards the end of the meal for her husband. This was the same meal that my daughter ordered. His was brought out quickly and the gravy was placed in a separate foam cup so it would stay hot! I was told that he enjoyed his meal also. Especially since the gravy was in a separate container and the biscuit wasn't all mushy by the time he ate it. This is a must try spot! And may very well become your favorite spot for breakfast. Yes, they do have a lunch menu, but I cannot comment on that as I haven't...
Read moreWe showed up around noon on a Saturday and had to wait a bit, which was a hassle since the waiting area inside was cramped. We ended up sitting outside and almost melted for about 30 minutes before they finally let us in and got us seated. But once we were in, everything was awesome! It’s a really nice, well-lit spot—not one of those places where the music is so loud you can’t hear the people at your table. The menu had lots of tasty meals, but they didn’t have a drink menu, so our waiter had to run through the few adult drinks they had—there were only about four options. The peach Bellini was amazing, though!
The only downside is that they don’t allow to-go orders. I had some friends with me who wanted to grab some food to go for their husbands at home but the waiter said the owner isn’t into that right now. So their to-go food came out with our meals and just sat on our table the whole time getting cold, which was kind of silly. Even when she brought out all our meals, she mentioned she had to wait to bring out the to-go containers because she didn’t want to get in trouble. The food was great, but not being able to order something to go at the end so it would be warm when we left was really odd and disappointing. Also, I got the hashbrown casserole as a side, and it was literally just hashbrowns with parsley—definitely not a casserole. I’ll totally be back to try more stuff, but until they sort out their to-go situation, I can’t really give this place more than 4 out of 5 stars.also kind of pricey...
Read moreTo caveat my 3* I would like to try this place again, i think we just had a plethora of things go wrong.
Food: sauce boss, jojo, sweet biscuit Drink: lattes
Service: 30 ish minute wait, FoH marked us as a two rather than 3 with our baby so tables for 4 were given away to other people, despite clarifying "two and a baby" on adding ourselves to the waiting list. Then tried seating at 2 top with no space for baby seat. Then denied another table "because we dont want a highchair in the aisle (people who say there put a highchair in the aisle). Then we finally got a table.
Our server entered our order wrong, our lattes were brought out cold then were remade half full with our server telling us she had never made a latte before. Our food arrived with eggs for our baby on my wife's plate and her eggs on the baby's plate. This was after a 20ish minute wait.
When the food arrived correctly it was pretty good, but I was very frustrated with the service up to this point.
The foh team did very well in making it up to us, very good on them for trying to make the best of it for us, and they wanted to hear feedback which was great. Big props to the team for that.
I would definitely try this place again, maybe after a few more weeks of being open, particularly for a busy sunday...
