Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Columbia

I've been here on two occasions, on New Year's eve evening this is the first time I've had this one bartender female I ordered a beer tall glass, glasses was warm so the beer was warm then I ordered 2 for 9.00 appetizers it came out wrong then she had to ask again what I had ordered so I knew it wasn't going to be a pleasant visit so I started to pay more attention to what was going on there was 7 black males sitting across from me at the bar they was getting everything that they had Ordered plus she put all her attention to that side of the bar so finally she ask if I wanted another beer I said yeah if the glasses was colder she got a glass out of cooler AN said they wasn't real cold so she just put glass back in cooler AN went back to the side where the black males was I never got another beer or was asked again so I paid my bill AN left no tip cause she didn't earn it on second occasion was last nite went in again nite manager was behind bar I ordered a beer AN same appetizer I did before with fries so this bartender appears from back the same one I had before again there was 2 black females sitting across from me then a black couple came in then there was 4 black males came in AN sit down on the same side in the mean time within 3mins I had ordered she brought fries out before the meal the manager told her I had more food coming so she turned AN said I'll bring you some fresh fries when my food came so after about 10 mins food arrived I ate the old fries with my order AN never got hot fries like I was promised AN she never thought anymore about it until I got ready to pay then she said oh I never got those fries for you I said nope then she said I will get them I said no, hell I'm through eating now so she took off one of my beers for the trouble again I paid AN she got no tip I'm not racist I have many black friends but she is white AN all her attention is towards the blacks I'm not judging anyone but all patrons should be treated equally AN she never say thank you come back or nothing she just lays bill on bar AN walks off so I won't be going back on Sunday afternoon anymore or anytime she is at the bar I spent close to 40.00 on these two visits AN normally it would be over 50.00 plus that's just one person the other bartender I've had in the past she got a 10.00 tip both times she deserves it cause she know how to bartend AN treat people regardless of color thank you for letting me respond AN post this also the bartender name is Kayla I believe she never told me her name I just heard one of her co workers call it out this was in Columbia...

I have been coming to this applebees for years and have never been so disappointed. My husband and I always order the same exact thing everytime we come. I get the chicken alfredo and he gets the sirloin with mashed potatoes. My chicken alfredo didn't have enough sauce, the chicken was very dry, and it had 2 different types of noodles in it. I requested more alfredo sauce hoping that would help a little, instead they gave me either nacho cheese or mac n cheese sauce with peppers in it. Their alfredo sauce isn't yellow and does not come with peppers or anything else in it. My husbands meat was more fat than meat and his potatoes came with cheese, he didn't ask for cheese. We did ask for the potatoes to be remade and instead the plate was taken and you could tell they moved the potatoes around and picked out the cheese. Then they gave it back to him like that. In total our meal was $60 plus tip and we have decided we will not be returning for a while. Hopefully the next time we come they will have better cooks. We were told they were preping for inspection the following day, that's why everything was running so rough and slow. That's what we were told by the staff. I am not one to complain about businesses. I own a business and stuff happens I 100% understand.... HOWEVER, tonight really made me mad and this is why.

Wes and I spent about 45 min finally deciding on a place to get curbside to-go from. Once we finally picked one place and decided what we wanted, I placed the order online at 6:15. (We never have done curbside here) My confirmation (both during ordering and on my confirmations) said 6:31. So we promptly get there AT 6:31.

There is a gentleman in his truck next to us. After about 5 min a woman brings his food out, and goes back in. Didn’t even LOOK at us, or say yours is coming up, sorry for your wait, NOTHING.

6:45 another car had pulled up and same chick comes out brings them their food. Still IGNORES US (we had the windows down the whole time) at 6:48 almost 20 min after it was said to be ready and been ignored, I left without paying and without my food.

By 6:53 we had ordered, been greeted, paid for, and got our highly complicated order and we are now home eating.

I have worked in food service, and I have owned a business. If you are a SERVER working for tips, acknowledge your customers. Literally all it would have taken. Even though it was almost 20 min late, probably not your fault, acknowledging us would have got you a 20%+...
