Terrible service. I wanted to go through the drive thru for a quick bite, but when I arrived at the speaker box, no one answered. With someone pulling up behind me, and a sign covering the screen explaining they were out of lettuce, I assumed that the order box was not working. I figured I should pull up to the first window. However, this one was shut and black. I go to the second window, only to find out that no, I wasn't supposed to be ordering there. When I explained that no one had answered me at the speaker box, the lady at the window didn't immediately apologize, but instead simply asked me what I wanted. Clearly tired and upset, I told her my order and handed her my card. When taking it back from her, she retorted: "there's no need to snatch it."
At this point I was shocked. I have never gone to a fast food restaurant, and been berated after they made a mistake. Not to mention, nobody apologized. I didn't realize I had even snatched it. I didn't think I had. Confused, I made a noise indicating I hadn't heard her, and she repeated the same line of not needing to snatch the card.
When it comes to service in fast food, you have to always be the most polite you can be. Your food is no different than the Wendy's down the street, and slightly different to that of burger king and mcdonalds. You have to sell fast and polite service, and rude servers is never excusable. I'll always forgive a clumsy server, someone who could be having a bad day. But never should anyone berate a customer when they don't know their situation. In my case, it was 5:30pm, I had woken up at 1pm, and I hadn't eaten anything all day. I felt awful, and I needed food. Not to be ignored and berated by some lady. I hope whoever was working drive at 5:30 ish on Friday 1/5/2018 is seriously reprimanded for this inexcusable behavior.

Read moreI recently had a deeply disappointing experience at the Wendy's restaurant in Columbia, SC. After utilizing their drive-through service, I realized that I had inadvertently left my credit card behind. This mistake turned into a nightmare when I returned to retrieve it, only to be informed that they couldn't access it because it was locked in a box for which they had no key.
Not only was this situation incredibly inconvenient, but it also displayed a shocking lack of concern for customer well-being. As someone passing through Columbia, SC, I had no choice but to cancel my card and rely on the cash I had on hand to get home. This was not only frustrating but also left me feeling vulnerable and unsafe.
What's even more disheartening is the lack of empathy and accountability shown by the staff and management. There was no offer of compensation, not even a simple apology for the inconvenience and distress caused. It seemed as though the manager was more preoccupied with external matters than addressing the issue at hand and providing a solution.
As regular customers of Wendy's, my wife and I were deeply disappointed by this experience. It's disheartening to see a once-reliable establishment fall short in terms of customer service and care. Needless to say, this experience has soured our perception of Wendy's, and we are now...

I guess the new way to deal with the customer, is to give them an attitude ,and after the attitude comes the cop threats....I ordered from the drive thru , they ask me what condiments I needed. I was very specific. Still they ignored the request. So now I have to find a parking go back in and request the same items ... was I irritated? Yes it's an inconvenience. So what do I get ? She had the audacity to sit there and argue with me like we where out on the streets .
