Antiques on High, at 714 S. High St. in the "Brewery District" neighborhood of Columbus, does not sell antiques.
Last night [9-27-2022], the Ohio Environmental Council hosted an event, "What is Columbus doing to address climate change?," at Antiques on High.
When first learning about last night's event, I had been unable to imagine how an antique shop would be able to host a public event that large. So I did some research on Google Maps and learned that Antiques on High is actually a brewery [and a bar or tavern] that has a rooftop event space.
Attenders at the 9-27-2022 "What is Columbus doing to address climate change?" event had been advised to "dress for the weather" [that had included occasional rain showers earlier yesterday] before attending yesterday's event at the rooftop event space. Most of the rooftop space is covered with a high roof so rain had not been an issue last night.
It had been fun to be only two buildings north of where the office of my family's attorney [who had also been a long-time family friend] had been located for many years; it had also been fun to be located immediately south of the Tremont Lounge [of which I have heard for many years but have never visited].
It had also been fun to be only a block or so north of Local Cantina Brewery District, at 743 S. High St., where I had visited on 8-3-2022 "on behalf of Google Maps" and about which I had written a review the following day.
While writing this review, by the way, I learned that the western boundary of German Village is S. Pearl St. [one block east of S. High St.], not S. High St. itself.
If you are looking for a pleasant location at which to enjoy a drink or to watch some beer being brewed or to attend an event, I recommend Antiques on High. If you want to visit an antique shop, I recommend...

The bar is gorgeously designed. I love the stone, brick, and wood theme along with the fireplace. During the Summertime the front opens up into a small outdoor patio. They also have a patio in the back where food trucks often are. The rooftop patio is amazing with some gorgeous views of the neighborhood and Columbus. There's also a few cute seating areas on the roof as well.
The staff is always very friendly and chatty. As I'm not a beer drinker, my first visit I asked for a recommendation and was told to get the Jungle Bird. A great recommendation for sure!
AOH is one of my favorite places in Columbus. Like Antiques hold their age, I hope AOH...

He also isn’t there to just sell a drink even if he does not like it, he’s honest but he also includes details about if you like a certain liquor, you would like this xyz cocktail. He is also very welcoming and made great conversation with me and my fiancé! I love it when people can talk about their job passionately, shows he loves what he does! Loved the...
