Chocolate Café Express — Restaurant in Columbus

This is a lovely second location of Chocolate Café. It is an “express” location meaning it’s smaller than the OG location. There’s room for a few folks to dine in either inside or at the table outside. They have a nice array of breakfast and baked goods. Bonus because the coffee/espresso is actually really good. I love the breakfast sandwiches here. You get the choice of bagel or croissant, 3 different cheeses, and a few different meat options. I'll admit that I've never physically been here, but I order breakfast from here as a treat to myself every payday via DoorDash or UberEATS. I always get the sausage, egg, and cheese bagel with a mocha coffee and a warm giant chocolate chip cookie. I am ALWAYS satisfied! I can't wait to stop in when I actually have the time to do so.

Btw, I LOVE the cheddar cheese they use on the bagel sandwich. It would still be decent without the cheddar cheese, however it's literally the icing on the cake chef's kiss when it comes to that sausage, egg, and cheese bagel. I find myself actually craving that bagel...

I have now been to Chocolate Cafe Express twice and am beyond impressed! I have had two different meals and two different pastries, and all were delicious. I highly recommend the tomato soup (always in rotation) and the Cajun chicken panini. The Dubai bars were to-die for. The staff (especially Travis!) is beyond friendly and knowledgeable. I plan to make this a staple location in my lunch lineup.
